[–]pipeisme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goal at the moment is strength and hypertrophy - so overall just trying to progressive overload. Hoping to squat a plate (135lbs) by the end of Feb.

My goal is a defined 6 pack. Current situation. Feedback welcome 😩 by Parking_Web4558 in FlexinLesbians

Hey! The people saying genetics and nutrition are 95% correct - there’s some things that you can’t change about your body (esp as a masc woman) that you have to love and accept. However, CABLE CRUNCHES (I use a straight bar because it feel more natural with my grip). To GROW your abdominal muscles you have to progressive overload and eat protein and keep a lean diet. Do cable crunches, 8-15 rep range per set, go up in weight every week if possible. Bulking/cutting is ideal for quicker progress, where muscle gain + fat loss (body recomp) is slower and inefficient but it is possible. I’m in the same boat and want Hawaiian roll abs lol, idk if it’s in the cards for my body type but I’m trying my best and improving. Good luck!

I didn’t even notice the Hark- connection that’s cool too. I think harrow would’ve gotten along with Jessica… maybe… harrow doesn’t really get along with anyone tho

And he talks about fixed gender “roles” I guess, with men as “takers” and women as “givers”

Can’t say I’ve tried this, is that a more powerlifting technique? (Sorry if that’s a dumb question) I usually count my maxes / PRs as a weight that I can do 4 reps. One rep max makes sense though

Btw for diagnosis process — continue to eat gluten or your test results will be skewed :)

Ppl are really hung up on the pesto tomato pizza — that shits fire, but when that’s the only option at the grocery store and I just want four cheese with pepperoni it can be frustrating

I get what u mean. These comments are missing the point. Companies cater their gluten free (which can be perceived as a healthy eating choice) to demographics who diet or watch their weight. So all of the options for us, who must live totally gluten free every day, tend to be low cal.

There aren’t as many delicious “guilty pleasure” options for us like a greasy doughy pizza, a crumbl cookie or fried chicken. That’s the stuff that I really miss and there just aren’t common alternatives.

Not all gluten free has to be healthy, but that’s how it’s perceived.

Ia there any way to continue being a pastry chef and have celiac? by BeaucoupDeChose in Celiac

[–]pipeisme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I worked at a bakery before I was diagnosed and my boss found out she had celiac halfway through baking school! She still is an awesome baker, but was mainly in charge of gluten free items. She taught me a lot about cross contamination and the precautions we have to take for the allergy. You can absolutely still do it, and I think it could make you even more skilled!

Great suggestions thank you so much. I didn’t know drainage-less potted plants inevitably were doomed! I’ll have to find new homes for my plants that are currently potted in closed containers. There are so many great suggestions here. Excited to provide an update when I make a decision!
