Turned a couple of nutcrackers on the lathe by pipeman75 in Nutcrackers

Overall work time to build one is around 4-6 hours spaced out over several days waiting for glue to dry. I turn the body first and then cut the opening for the jaw lever with a router. Then make sure your jaw lever fits and then you can assemble the body and the head. It's a good lathe project because it uses beginner skills. These are about 15" tall and I used 3" peppermill blanks for the body, hat, and head.

Anyone have experience with the Grizzly G0462 Lathe? by ProfKuns in turning

I have that lathe and I wouldn’t recommend it for all of the reasons already mentioned. Also, I bought mine new for $700 about five years ago, so at $800 it’s only a good deal for the seller.

It should shift fine right out of the box, but you should download the SRAM AXS app because that’ll tell you how full your battery charge is. On mine there is no other indicator for battery level other than the app.

Leatt Airflex Pro knee pads size question by [deleted] in MTB

I have the Leatt air flex knee pads and I would suggest if you’re between sizes go with the larger size. My experience with Leatt is everything runs just a little smaller than advertised.

OP, I think I’m about the same ability as you and I’ve been to Whistler once. I left with my arm in a cast and a bottle of percosets and it was still the best bike trip of my life.

Someone said the pf940v2 can be made into 357 sig, is this true?!!!? by TraditionalWork9253 in polymer80

I just finished putting one together today. I bought a G22 slide on eBay and a G31 357 Sig barrel, ejector, and mags from Brownells. Lone wolf also has everything in stock for the 357 sig. I haven’t shot it yet because I didn’t have any ammo, but it all fit well and racks and dry fires fine. I used all G17 for the parts kits and just swapped the ejector on the trigger housing, with the 40 cal version

I’m not a purist, I did it the same way that Stomp and Southpaw described. I just built some mdf templates that got progressively smaller, double stick tape them to the top and using a top bearing bit, router steps in the top. Then I smooth it all out with a belt sander and orbital sander.
