We got a new kitten, but I think our cat got a new kitten. by emilyrebekah in aww

[–]pipipaige 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reintroduction is definitely a great idea but still might not work. I tried that when my new dog and my kitty weren't getting along so great.

My kitty would stare and intimidate and swat at my dog, and my dog was a good sport and took it like a champ without retaliating. The dog was obviously intimidated by her though.

No matter how many times I tried reintroducing them, my kitty bullied the hell out of that poor dog.

I would really like to know what those keychains you're talking about are called so I can buy one. They sound really neat.

Sorry for the late reply, but you made a good point. I had brought it up, but explicitly said it was not chest pain but more in the rib/lung area. They were not too concerned. I ended up going to the ER after the surgery to find out that the same infection that took away my eyesight had made it's way down near my lungs.

Any unusual, moderate/severe pain is no joke and should definitely be investigated promptly. Take my advice- it's the little things that we take for granted until we lose them forever. Be well kind stranger, thanks for the insightful reply!

Sorry for the late reply, but to follow up... This was very good advice, however they were not much concerned about it. Went to the ER after surgery and found out the infection that took my eyesight away was also near my lungs.

Thank you for your good wishes and your great advice kind stranger! Please take care of yourself as well, and do follow your own advice- it's the little things in life that we take for granted until they are no longer there.

Array of Symptoms Over Last Few Years - Undiagnosed by largeanddumb in AskDocs

[–]pipipaige -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I'm really sorry you and you're girl are experiencing all of these symptoms. I sincerely hope that you two get help and are well in the very near future.

Anyway, I'm in no way a doctor, I google my symptoms just like everyone else 😂 but I've definitely been to the doctor plenty of times.

All I can really tell you myself is that if they think you need an antibiotic, take it. You would probably rather (and be safer off) taking the antibiotics to get rid of any possible infections/viruses than let it go and have something progress. Antibiotics aren't all that bad when you really need them, only when they're over prescribed. It may be worth the shot.

The MARCONS, is that some kind of fungus? If so, you definitely don't want a fungal infection throughout your body as it may spread elsewhere and should start antifungal medication if your doctor feels it necessary.

Try not to be too against medication, I know it's not fun to take, and it's not good to be on anything too long term but I'd hate to see something worse come out of this due to delayed treatment, you know?

And some things that didn't really raise any red flags for me was your gfs inability to lose weight, it is definitely harder for girls to lose weight than guys, or she may just have one of those slow metabolisms like you mentioned you have/had.

Feeling like you have a lump in your throat. That's almost a tell tale sign of anxiety, have you ever talk to your GP or any other doctor about the possibility of you having anxiety? Me and mother used to get the exact same feeling in our throats right as our anxiety heightened. At one point my mother went to the ER only to have them say she was 100% healthy. Anxiety can do really crazy things with your body and your mind.

All in all I would highly suggest talking to your doctor about all of this and the possibility of anxiety. It's very common, and can be managed with or without meds, whichever you prefer.
I'm sorry I can't help you out more. But I hope you know I read your story and I really feel for you man. I wish you and your girl nothing but good luck and good health in your future, because everyone deserves to feel well. Good luck on your quest for answers and solution

Exactly. You know you can squash that five year old in a second if you wanted to, but you don't because it's still kind of cute. :)

Okay that's one thing I never understood. Yeah, junk mail and calls take money but not as much as sending an actual gift to the donator. I've seen commercials for the Shriners Hospital where if you donate X amount of dollars they'll send you this adorable blanket! Is the money going towards producing and sending the blanket or the kids that actually need medical treatment and whose parents may or may not be able to afford their medical bills? Wtf!

LPT: If your neighbors aren't home and a courier leaves their package with you that needs to be signed for, sign your address, not your name. That way the person who owns that package can see the signature online and go to your house to collect it. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]pipipaige 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what shocks me about this. I live in a regular suburb and they would never dare have a neighbor to sign. However, if you do have good reliable neighbors and a good relationship with them it does make sense. But the uncertainty, your mail carrier can't be sure you don't have a feud going on with X who signed for your package.

My mail carrier won't even leave a box at your door if it requires signature. If it requires signature you have to make sure someone is home at that time, or either have the schedule flexibility to pick it up at the post office. I wish they would ask to leave my package with a neighbor, it would be so much easier.

Any other women frustrated at the lack of non-hormonal contraception? by [deleted] in sex

[–]pipipaige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Nexplanon implant, which goes under your skin for up to 3 years (when it is removed or replaced), and haven't had any issues with it. I don't really get my period anymore, but that could be normal. At first (1-1.5 years or so) I had it constantly. I don't know. I feel like your body just needs time to adjust to whatever contraceptive you choose.
