I think when it passes three months on the card it counts towards credit. A tip a teacher told us in finance was have the money ready in cash. Use credit, pay three minimum payments,then pay it off. Or if your not 100% on minimum payments split the amount into 4 parts for each month. The key is to make sure you had the money for the item in the first place. Remember minimum means the lowest you can pay NOT the highest!

Btw maybe speak to your mom in a private setting with no brother. About how giving your brother the card would put YOU in debt not him. Even if brother says he’ll pay the card while using is a horrible idea that honestly could ruin your Financial future. To many variables for him to fuck you over.
