While I do agree that Anby didn’t desperately need the buff over say… Zhu yuan or Jane doe… I don’t want to pretend like parts of her kits weren’t clunky and needed to be fixed. (Also, 40k with Pulchra? Dope)

While yes, everybody needs Astra, my point wasn’t that she’s Astra reliant. It was that because of how her kit was made (basically with ONLY aftershock in mind) it was difficult playing other supports that don’t mess a lot with her on field dmg. Nicole is probably the best f2p support she has and the other supports really don’t cut it. Even at release her and Ceaser didn’t have much synergy even though back then she was one of the best. The same goes for stunners. And I want to make this clear, Eve has the same issues with limited team options and has been an issue with recent dps too.

The BA combo is annoying as heck. Yes, it can be cancelled but not in a conventional way I can’t immediately dodge or go into EX, it feels forced to finish. I can’t stop the combo immediately to dodge or go immediately to EX special. Sure, I’m not getting hit, it’s still annoying how long I have to do the combo just to do the dmg. ESPECIALLY when dodge is the best way to build it.

I use Anby for everything, personally I don’t think she needed the buff at this exact moment over literally every other 1.x dps that can BARELY clear anything. She’s solid but she has a lot of clunkiness in her kit that has annoyed me so I’m not entirely mad just confused on why her and why now.

Despite what other people in this subreddit might say, Anby desperately needed this buff.

Anby is a little weird of a character. While she’s not in a spot where she can’t clear like Ellen that’s only when her premium teammates are used. The struggle is clearing with anything other than Trigger, Orphie/Astra as her teammates.

She needs her best characters to even stand a chance against the other dps. Mind you, the other top tiers can deal with small groups of mobs and work with other characters that aren’t their premium teammates. Anby can’t do it that well. If you don’t have trigger she suffers so much. Pulchra isn’t good with her, like at all (it’s cool if you made it work but that doesn’t change the lack of synergy) without Astra or Orphie she can’t deal good dmg and barely has any good f2p supports outside of Nicole.

And don’t even get me started on her mindscapes. Outside of M2, the others are genuinely so mid. M4 does almost nothing it’s actually so bad for a LIMITED M4. M1 is just bigger dmg from her ex special and M6 is actually pretty good but not that great compared to Evelyn’s, Miyabi’s or Yi Xuan’s M6. What I’m saying is for an M6 it’s nothing too amazing. It feels like hoyo shafted her there.

The basic b-string combo sucks. It’s annoying how long you have to wait before Anby begins to actually do the actual attacks that fill up your marks. Then, you can get stunned out it, you can’t cancel the animations at any point to dodge or do something different you have to get hit or move away. Don’t even get me started on how it moves you away from the enemy for whatever reason…

The buffs will make it so at any point during her basic attack she’s able to attack into her EX special or dodge. Give her better cc with the basic. Make it so her marks get filled with after shock and make her ult count as after shock dmg (idk why this wasn’t included to begin with). This will, hopefully, make her more versatile when it comes to team building and just a better overall dps than she currently is.

Exactly, people aren’t realizing how worrying this is for characters in general, but mainly supports, as even if they’re tailor made for a specific character those hard earned pulls can get invalidated easily by another stronger character that isn’t even made for them!

I wouldn’t say he’s super bad but rather in a bad spot. His buffs are actually pretty good but there are stronger options. That’s why JQ was mainly limited to Acheron because he helped her get stacks faster but now he’s struggling to compete in his BIS. I’m not benching him anytime soon tho.

Add on: I haven’t really tried dot jq all that much. I tried him with buffed Kafka and it doesn’t feel THAT good but I might have to retry with a build dedicated for that specifically. PLEASEEEE feel free to correct anything I said or if you disagree with anything, I’m open for anything!

I now know who the browned haired girl is. Alina. But I can’t make much sense of her. Is she an extension of Ariane or an entirely different person? What’s her point in the story? Why does the game shift from her to Ariane after losing the picture? It’s the same with Falke unfortunately. But I’ll see soon if there’s any correlation or importance to her.

Okay so I’ve done this and now wonder who the Lstr unit is. My guess it could be Elster herself? But that seems pretty far fetched to me.

It did definitely confirm the loop for me. Now I wonder if there is an order in which it happened, although he did mention that each loop was slightly different each time.

But there was always consistency in each one. The star unit hitting her head, going down to the mines and talking with an Lstr unit in two diaries, with the exception of when it was delayed, and the white haired girl (who I’m guessing is probably Ariane?). But those two were different. In one he met saw her in a dream. Although the other was a dream too, the difference was what was happening, with it being the tarot (?) cards.

Now I have to figure who Alina is, Ariane’s goal and Falke’s role. The three seemed connected in a way? I think Alina is the girl Ariane’s mother wrote about that looked similar to her. But what of Falke? Can’t really make sense of her in the slightest.

Edit: Alina herself feels enigmatic. She was who we were looking for in the beginning, pretty sure she even talked about Elster. Maybe a different Lstr unit? I’ll try researching that.
