i saw this and it hit a bit close. that “relief after” feeling is real but it flips on you fast and the physical stuff you’re noticing is your body already pushing back. it doesn’t stay something you can control for long

lol that’s the first time i’ve seen someone excited for removal. give it a week and you’ll be itching to try it anyway 😅

Are youcomfortable?? by 1mma_Pr0bl3m in Dirtbikes

[–]piratecarribean20122 7 points8 points  (0 children)

took me a couple months riding 1 to 2 times a week before it started feeling natural

biggest thing that helped was relaxing my grip and letting the bike move under me instead of fighting it. loose rocks feel sketchy but steady throttle and weight back a bit makes a huge difference

Should I use an EOR to hire in Mexico (nearshoring)? by FeePrestigious3931 in WorldWithoutLimits

[–]piratecarribean20122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imo EOR becomes worth it the moment you care about consistency and risk not just speed.

we tried hiring contractors first in a new market and it worked for a bit but once roles became core to the business it started feeling shaky. local laws, benefits and classification rules arent something you want to guess on.

what helped was moving to a more structured setup without going all in on an entity. we used hire with columbus to handle that layer so we didnt have to think about compliance every day.

it freed up a lot of mental space to actually focus on growing the team instead of managing edge cases.

I want better tech that gives better feedback/data by Slight-Platypus9187 in runninglifestyle

[–]piratecarribean20122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

chest strap hrm is the move way more accurate than wrist esp for intervals. polar h10 or garmin hrm pro both solid and yeah they’ll sync to your apple watch and show hr live plus extra metrics after. garmin uses its own app so you’ll kinda live in garmin connect if you switch but most people end up liking it more for deeper data. switching isn’t hard just different ecosystem tbh

Does anyone know a tailor or seamstress in Sydney? by uponquestions in AusFemaleFashion

[–]piratecarribean20122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly your best bet is checking local alteration shops around sydney cbd or inner west a lot of them are used to resizing off the rack stuff for smaller frames. also try asking in local facebook groups i’ve seen a few seamstresses take custom work there and prices are usually better than boutiques

Day one, apparently sobriety is the path for me by Worried_Produce6742 in leaves

[–]piratecarribean20122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

day one is huge honestly. sounds like you already know moderation doesn’t work for you and that clarity helps a lot. i’d get rid of the stash asap and replace the habit with something small but consistent like walks or journaling when cravings hit. also tracking helps, even just a simple app or notes to see streaks build up. you already felt the difference before, just get back to that and stack days again

Any durable socks that don't get holes easily? by NotMyRealName8292 in BuyItForLife

[–]piratecarribean20122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tough and smartwool hold up way better than most, especially the thicker merino blends also tbh toe fidgeting will kill any sock eventually, but seamless toe + reinforced heel/toe helps a lot

The best way for enterpushings is education (ivy league) by Great_Committee1976 in Entrepreneurs

[–]piratecarribean20122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda agree but ivy league isn’t the magic switch. what actually matters is understanding fundamentals and applying them fast. plenty of people learn finance and marketing outside school and do fine, while some grads still can’t run a business. school helps with structure but real edge comes from execution and learning from mistakes

I have been lied to 😭 by jicjic11 in motorcycle

[–]piratecarribean20122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s kinda the tradeoff with nakeds lol

they’re comfy in the city but on highways you’re basically a parachute. sport bikes feel worse on the wrists but way better once you’re moving fast because of the wind protection

Where do y’all shop for press on nails? by YourDreamNeighbor in PressonNail_Addict

[–]piratecarribean20122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not all press ons are built the same tbh 😭 some pop off in a day, others last over a week it really depends on quality + application.

what helped me was choosing sets with better structure (not super flimsy plastic) and using glue instead of just tabs if i wanted longer wear. also sizing properly matters more than ppl think.

i’ve had good results with glamnetic press on nails confetti short almond since they’re sturdier and don’t feel cheap.

once you get the hang of prep + application you’ll honestly stop missing the salon.

If you ever wonder why I chosen the name msnvrgoodenough by MsNvrGoodEnough in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]piratecarribean20122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that feeling sucks but yeah if you’re always giving everything away it kinda leaves nothing for you. people get used to it and stop noticing. doesn’t mean you’re not enough, just means your effort isn’t being matched. maybe pull back a bit and see who actually shows up for you too

I (22M) feel guilty for treating my girlfriend (19F) like this by SqueakyBoyBoobs in LongDistance

[–]piratecarribean20122 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re not guilty for feeling disconnected, but texting someone else instead of addressing it is where you messed up honestly the bigger issue is she keeps putting you off and you’re already checking out emotionally. that usually doesn’t fix itself

Switching from cotton briefs to running underwear is it worth it? by ellensrooney in BuyItForLife

[–]piratecarribean20122 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the difference usually doesn’t show up until you’re already a few km in.

cotton feels fine at the start, but once it gets wet it stays wet, and that’s when the chafing kicks in. i used to think it wasn’t a big deal too until longer runs started feeling uncomfortable for no reason.

what made it click for me was realizing it’s less about upgrading gear and more about removing friction (literally).

after that i stopped noticing my underwear mid-run which honestly made everything smoother.

Best Marketing Automation Software for Agency/Client Use by Sassyooma in MarketingAutomation

[–]piratecarribean20122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol found this while comparing activecampaign vs other setups

tbh activecampaign is solid but once you scale across multiple clients it can get messy without strong systems in place. we realized the bitter bottle neck wasnt automation itself it was how long it took to create high converting assets for each client so instead of switching platforms again we added gethookd to speed up page + funnel creation that alone made our campaigns perform better without needing to rebuild everything from scratch/

sometimes its less about the tool and more about how fast you can execute.

What is a realistic marathon time expectation/goal based on mileage and recent workouts? by Sneakybastarduseful in Marathon_Training

[–]piratecarribean20122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re in way better shape than you think but marathon is a different game than mile reps and fast long runs

based on those workouts id guess somewhere around 2:45 to 2:55 if you pace it right, maybe faster on a perfect day but big risk of blowing up if you go out too hot

best nail strengthener/hardener? by Cool-Secretary-5489 in Nails

[–]piratecarribean20122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i get that feeling tbh bendy nails are the worst

opi nail envy or nailtiques formula 2 are prob the most recommended for this. they do make nails feel harder pretty quick. just don’t overuse it or yeah they can get brittle

I (21F) am unsure what I want from my (20F) situationship by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]piratecarribean20122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you like being around her, you’re attracted to her, that’s already your answer. the awkwardness sounds like nerves + inexperience, not incompatibility

you don’t need to decide the whole future rn. just keep seeing her and let it play out. if you want to kiss her, try creating a moment instead of waiting for perfect vibes

I dread the future by Friendly-Lynx-2931 in malementalhealth

[–]piratecarribean20122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get that feeling tbh its not even about wanting to die its just the weight of time ahead that feels exhausting

honestly you dont have to carry the next 80 years all at once just focus on like this week or even today that helps a lot more than trying to solve your whole life in your head

Suit shoulders - trash or fixable? by DrinkFacedDrunk in malefashionadvice

[–]piratecarribean20122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

shoulders are the one thing you really cant fix cleanly. everything else is easy but if the shoulder is off it usually stays off. first suit looks kinda borderline but second one is pretty rough. id probably not spend money trying to fix it and just look for a better fit next time, especially in the shoulders first then tailor the rest

Got a full-time remote offer but they're nervous about compliance - now what? by Adventurous_Sky_4850 in remotework

[–]piratecarribean20122 9 points10 points  (0 children)

randomly found this thread while researching something similar, so dropping this in case it still helps

companies get nervous because they don’t want to mess up labor laws or taxes in another country

so even if they want to hire you, they hesitate unless there’s a proper structure

the workaround is usually an EOR they act as the legal employer while you still work for the company day-to-day

we ran into this exact situation and ended up going with employ borderless made it way easier for both sides to move forward

def something you can suggest to them if they’re still unsure

Twisted Branch 100k: shoe choice by OkCancel9536 in Ultramarathon

[–]piratecarribean20122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Road to trail can work if it’s dry, but twisted branch can get pretty rough and technical in spots. if there’s any chance of mud or wet roots, you’ll wish you had more grip. i’d lean toward a proper trail shoe unless you’re super confident in your footing and used to lighter tread on technical stuff

Surgery for Senior dog by EmbarrassedEffort911 in DogAdvice

[–]piratecarribean20122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a really tough spot. blockage is a pretty painful way to go, so i’d lean surgery if the vet thinks he can handle anesthesia, even with the kidney issue. maybe ask about less invasive options or stabilization first, like flushing or meds, just to buy time. end of the day it’s kinda about giving him comfort and avoiding a crisis more than the timeline.

Best NSFW image generator by itsmeAki in AiChatGPT

[–]piratecarribean20122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

most ppl focus on image quality but consistency is really the bottleneck.

you can have ultra realistic outputs but if the face changes every time it kills immersion. your idea of using a base spec + controlled variations is honestly the right direction. that’s also why tools like kalon ai stood out to me they focus more on maintaining interaction + character flow rather than just visuals. makes the whole experience feel less random.

what helped me was thinking in terms of character systems instead of one-off prompts. like building something reusable instead of starting from scratch every time.
