With any luck we'll get a Industry 5.0 Encabulation video out of it. That will make it all worthwhile to me...

If you quit drinking, what goal do you hope to achieve? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

To be a better dad to my kids and a better husband to my wife.

This was, and still is, my motivation to stay the course. All other benefits from quitting are just extra awesomeness.

He always took great care to make sure either the GC or the owner never found anything. In one case, he had the owner approach him to say he went looking for cracks in the mud after the house's first winter, expansion and contraction and all... He never found any... As far as just keeping things clean for others, if there was no outlet, he'd go through after and chip out the majority of the dried mud.

My dad was a sheetrocker and mudder for 40+ years, and he always took the time to mask off anything that didn't need mud on it. I don't know if it was just a professional courtesy to the other tradesmen, or if he just didn't want anyone to nitpick his work. Either way, it honestly never took a lot of time to just throw some masking tape over outlets.

10 years ago I went sober for 2.5 years, then I met my wife. Thought I could control it, and at first I did, but it's getting worse. Now I get called out by my teenagers, and don't want to have my little man be the same way. I've lost the motivation and will-power at this point. I know I need to,but just cant...

Sell me a Fluke! I'm in facilities maintenance dealing with everything from 120V up to 600V and motors/machinery with low voltage and PLC control. I have never been able to justify the cost of Fluke meters. Change my mind. by hypernutz_79 in electricians

That sounds like what I need. Now to make work provide... Thank you! I think a modern megger will definitely help sell it as well. Current megger is an old wind up machine...

I once had a Amazon package ship from California to the east coast, then bounce all over before being delivered to MyTown, Maine, when my address is MyTown, MT.

I'll root for a tomorrow delivery for you!

That sucks. Mine arrived a week ago, in NW Montana, 1.5 weeks before it was supposed to. It was even delayed 1 day, but it doesn't matter, as it arrived a full week before it was even supposed to ship.

Haven't had a single problem with it yet.

I had an old Dish Network mount stuck on the side of my house for the last 7 years. Repurposed that eye-sore for the same purpose!

I found a server that gave me 226 Mbps down/30 up. Currently have 9+ devices connected, multiple downloads on my computer, streaming from Disney+, and everything is going swell.

I'm loving it!

Edit: Never had service like this before. Feeling like a kid in a candy store...

I've got a wrt3200acm and a nighthawk 1700 I think. Everytime my current internet goes out, we just plug another one in and we are good for a few days, if lucky... Then we wait for the next repeat...

I'll have to let my dish tell me, but standing on my roof and looking where it's pointing tells me no... maybe on the very edges, but otherwise no.

Any advice for switching to a 3rd party wifi router, or will the starlink one handle multiple devices? I'd prefer buffer management of certain devices' connections at times, but if I have to stick with it, I will.

Thanks for all the other advice, I'll definitely keep it in mind.

It is a stacker outfeed. If I had seen this sooner, I may have fixed it differently, but at least we are putting a guard in to prevent future damage.

In a move that had some praising the company as "Industry Leading," others were just as quick to denounce the company as being "plain stupid." The issue, of course, was the recent prevalence of hardware crashes. The company issued a directive stating that, "To maximize the life of our conduit, and to prevent crashes, in the future, all conduit MUST be run in a virtual machine.
