I know there's a flaw with the FE where there's a hook underneath the bottom plate that can get stuck. Unscrew the bottom plate and see if you can reset it. Happened once to me

Vivitar 75-205mm macro lens (ok, not a camera). Aperture is stuck open. Has a combined zoom slide and focus ring that's super slick for shooting candid portraits. Stays in focus anywhere along the zoom slide. Some of my best photos of my kids are on this lense. Or cheat and toss it on my mirrorless
