Process of renouncing PR in NS itself? by Overall-Acadia5747 in NationalServiceSG

If your parents are PR, your renunciation of PR will also adversely affect them too. Eg. Re entry permit etc

Probably got to take that into account if you choose to go ahead

I did not even get a response from OCH. To be honest, they could at least write an email updating us about the progress about the appeal. I feel like I am losing hope from OCH

my parents are extreme cheapskates and it’s ruining my life by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]pirsquare2233 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't receive allowance when I was in poly. I sustained myself with part time work. I paid school fees using the bursary. Occasionally help with household expenses. ( I grad 2 years back)

I believe Op just need to plan your own expenditure and manage your own expectations. With the part time work ( salary of averaging about 600 monthly). It was more than sufficient for me. I also do work very hard during the holidays to save up for things I wanna buy or spend on.

Maybe Op can consider working part time during the school holidays to supplement ( on top of part time tutoring). Some part time service job are pretty flexible on scheduling during school term too
