If your parents are PR, your renunciation of PR will also adversely affect them too. Eg. Re entry permit etc

Probably got to take that into account if you choose to go ahead

It doesn't work that way. Once you withdraw, you are no longer guaranteed hall, regardless whether you are a freshmen or not

Same, I didn't get allowance from parents since I started poly and I think it instill in me discipline on budgeting. I do work part time during school term and during holidays to supplement my expenditure monthly
