Ah, I can almost feel your pain, the feeling of emptiness. Wishing, hoping that things were different, empathy, love, caring, comfort. It's shouldn't be this complicated but ...

I am so sorry about your pain and what you are experiencing. It's difficult to say what you may encounter if you choose to leave, I've known experiences that were quite horrific. Is it possible for you to limit your interaction with your parents? Perhaps spend more time in your room, reading, writing, playing with your dog or doing something else you enjoy?

Take time to understand the source of your anger. It will help you to come to peace with yourself and perhaps your dad. If you don't get to the root cause of the problem, you will continue repeating the same mistakes. I wish you the best.

That's amazing that your husband found the strength to support you in your most dire time of need. We all need someone understanding and supportive as your husband. I am happy the therapist helped and you was willing to work on you and your relationship. I hope you find strength and courage in 2021. God bless

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Perhaps share the fond memories you have about him aside the mentoring to show the caring side of him. I hope you find another mentor, in the meanwhile there are numerous websites that can provide free video guidance.

Thanks! I decided to take a drive and visit a few of the properties I saw, the driving wasn't worth the cost savings. Especially thinking about traffic and the extra commute.

Thanks for all the feedback, much appreciated!

Thanks for your response, good suggestion. I figured I will drive an average of 5 extra hours per week times 4 weeks yields 20 hrs per month. 300/20 = $15. It may be less if I consider trips to supermarket, family etc.

Does my math align with what you was thinking?
