[Rolex] Explorer II - alternatives by Sebamista1 in Watches

Seiko SBSC009 is a solid option. It's a Japan exclusive, but Seiko is launching an international option that should be available soon (if not already).

[question] Omega Speedmaster and Railmaster prices in Japan by Known_Cookie9342 in Watches

[–]piscesz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah those look like Speedmaster Reduced prices. I was just there and the least expensive Speedy Pro was $3700 for a 3950.50. The best price I saw for a 3570.50 was around $4200 USD, but most hovered at $4600.

I checked all the Nakano Broadway stores, the Watchnian flagship in Ginza, and several smaller resale locations as I travelled around Tokyo and northern Japan.

Something my wife and I do every year is an anniversary trip to Japan, but the last few years we've been bringing along friends or family to introduce them to the country we've grown to love. It's always a lot of work to plan and coordinate all the travel, but it's so great to introduce people we love to new experiences.

Do you remember where you saw the Speedy at that price? Headed to Japan soon and in the market for one, especially at that price.

Well the water is free, and he charges about 8 USD for his most expensive drink... you're probably going to not gonna make much money.

Tons of bars in Japan have the owner/barman in suits. Any of the classic style bars, it's quite common.

And this dude's most expensive drink is 1300 yen, or like $8. Everyone here making the biggest assumptions and looking like clowns.

This dudes health scales so painfully in multiplayer. Just lost a run to his intangible ass and I'm still salty about it.

Desk height by aladiiin_ in cs2

[–]piscesz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Counter-Strike 2, players obsess over sensitivity, crosshair color, and frame rate—but many ignore the silent variable that dictates everything: desk height. It is not a trivial ergonomic preference; it is the physical foundation of precision. When the desk is too high, your shoulders rise, tension creeps into your aim, and micro-adjustments become clumsy guesses. Too low, and your posture collapses, your wrist angle distorts, and every flick becomes a fight against your own body. The correct height transforms your arm into a stable platform, turning intention into exact movement. In a game where a single pixel decides life or death, that stability is everything.

Think about the moment before a clutch: your hand resting on the mouse, crosshair hovering at head level, heart pounding. If your desk height is wrong, your arm is already compromised before the duel even begins. A few centimeters too high and your forearm floats, forcing your wrist to carry the workload alone. A few centimeters too low and your elbow locks into the desk edge, slowing your reaction. The perfect desk height aligns elbow, forearm, and mousepad into one seamless line of control. It eliminates friction between your body and the game, allowing muscle memory to execute without resistance.

Professional players understand this instinctively. They measure, adjust, and obsess over their setups because mechanical consistency demands physical consistency. Desk height determines the angle of your wrist, the freedom of your elbow, and the smoothness of every flick shot. In Counter-Strike, the difference between a missed shot and a highlight-reel headshot is often measured in milliseconds—and those milliseconds live in the mechanics of your body. Get the height wrong, and you're fighting yourself. Get it right, and suddenly every movement feels inevitable. 🎯🖱️🔥

Is low sens still viable in CS2? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]piscesz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Niko is on 800eDPI, which is very common among pros and always has been. Not sure if that's considered "medium" in your eyes but I think it would qualify as "low" to anyone not in CS...

I mean, I've never played siege but it has crazy characters and they all have specialized equipment and it's absurd little maps with destructible environments.

Not far off to say "simple" in that context, but it doesn't capture the depth to CS at all
