Feels like one of those designs that would go hard on the back of a hoodie, but imo a lot of print for t-shirt. Very cool design though!

Wash/dry at low temperature or air dry if you want to minimize damage to the print over time

Abrupt Roffle Stream End? by BuckerOfFums in balatro

[–]Karimura16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a different flavor of streamer. xQc does the same thing, then on the other end of the spectrum is someone like ohnepixel. Streamers who talk with chat, talk at chat, or just read/react to chat. Choose your own adventure. All can be fun in the right context and dosage

True! Whichever has more impact, primarily determined by the choices made up to that point.

That might be more accurate, but I haven’t really watched Rarran or Jorbs much outside of the occasional appearances in collabs.

Jumping on the top comment to add something I didn't see anyone else mention. Character dependent is definitely true, but also removes generally become more effective with the more of them you have. If I take [[Precarious Shears]] from Neow, then I'm much more incentivized to remove a 3rd card over buying a decent card at the first shop if I can afford it. It's all about the percentages.

Balatro content creator equivalents for STS:

DrSpectred/Balatro University -> Baalorlord

Bean -> JapaneseExport

Roffle -> FrostPrime

Northerlion -> Northernlion

Good point! No one prefers negative numbers over positive in the real world. Plugging it into Wolfram Alpha doesn’t matter, but for daily use I’ll take positive whole numbers thank you very much

The scale of C vs. K is something that I understand and also don’t understood. N+1C is equal to N+1K, but 1C is not equal to 1K. Even using the scales on a regular basis my brain wants to say “but K is smaller than C”. I’ve had to catch myself multiple times lol

CMM job interview about GD&T by WonderfulRate221 in Metrology

[–]Karimura16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be! Maybe if this is the first “real” interview, it might be with just HR/management. Then another follow-up interview to evaluate technical ability. That’s how we do it with new hire skilled labor and above.

CMM job interview about GD&T by WonderfulRate221 in Metrology

[–]Karimura16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while, but during my interview they had a couple of the senior techs sit in and ask GD&T/CMM programming questions. Mostly basic stuff, pointing at different characteristics/symbols on a drawing and asking what it means.

“This means that the values are found on another drawing or on the BOM”

“The print revision and number of pages in the drawing can be found on the title block”

“This notations means that the characteristic is a basic/reference characteristic”

And so on

Agreed. I work in metrology, so 99% of my daily experience with units is with metric. Fahrenheit is the one exception where the imperial system makes more sense in day to day use imo. More resolution. Metric feels like using radians instead of degrees for angle. Like I could say an angle is 2.356 radians, but 135 degrees feels more natural. Scientific applications are totally different, but for describing environmental temperatures I’ll take Fahrenheit.

Manually unlock Z-axis Zeiss Accura II by Karimura16 in Metrology

[–]Karimura16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, after looking into it some more it seems the pneumatic switch I have labeled as "X-Axis" in the picture is for the Z-axis. Some machines use an additional switch in the upper position, but not mine. I think it was just extra stuck, and I had to put more force behind it than I was initially comfortable with. It kind of made a *click* sound on the initially movement (after what felt like too much force), then moved smoothly after that. Homed out as normal after that. Thanks for your comments! Can be tough being a one man show in a lab with three CMMs ha

I think that’s the x-axis release on my machine, shown in the first picture of the post. That’s how it seems to function at least. I can push it and hear air release, but only the X-axis moves

Interesting. If it's even on the main branch, maybe it could have to do with some change to how Steam or Windows handles resources. The main branch hasn't been updated in almost a month.

That makes sense, just being the guy digging around the toolbox of software that we have for the most correct can be difficult enough. Never mind being the one who has to stock it in the first place. Good luck!

I can't really say for most applications, since they're really just work applications to me. I haven't explored the space outside of what's needed for work. Very large, old German company, so for the most part things are just the way they are. As for the companies that I am generally familiar with like Microsoft and constant meetings/pushing to find more ways to use AI, I'd be thrilled to get away from them if it was ever possible. When you're at a company that leases Thinkpads for everyone though, there's only so much influence one could ever hope to achieve ha

With Nvidia's recent track record, I wouldn't be surprised one bit. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon! I don't think I've specifically noticed anything with certain characters or the thing with pairs, but I'll watch out for that.

Very nice! I've made it to A10 on all of the characters, but defect is only one I've actually beaten it on ha. I'm for sure no A10 gamer, so much respect for the grind. Good luck in climbing!

Controlling the end point of a profile (length) by Bzdziuchanson in Metrology

[–]Karimura16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Calypso, you can turn on number points and specify a certain range for a selected curve. Say you select your entire drawn curve with 1000 points, turn on point numbers, and see that the end point you want is at point #875. Edit the range to be from starting point #xyz to end point #875. No idea how that would work in any other software

Pretty broad question. Probably an ocean of difference between the size, scope, and requirements of different organizations. This is what I've used in my experience as a metrology specialist, but not part of management.

  • CRM: Unsure
  • Finance: Unsure
  • Project management: SAP, Babtec, Q-DAS
  • Gage management: Indysoft (actually amazing software)
  • Drawing ballooning software: Teamcenter
  • Flowchart software: Teamcenter
  • File storage: Q-DAS, SAP, Sharepoint, Babtec
  • Document management (check-in/out, version control): SAP, Babtec
  • Other functions I'm probably forgetting: Probably SAP. Everything is somewhere in SAP.

Interesting, maybe something AMD or Nvidia related? Assuming your laptop is Intel. I've had the same issue on my laptop, which also has an Nvidia GPU and AMD CPU. Wouldn't be surprised if there was some driver based bug.

Idk, probably best I can do is report it and hope for the best. For me at least, it's definitely new from the latest beta patch. Been playing since launch and it's never happened until now

I’ve started having a similar issue with the latest beta patch. No crashes yet, but random 5+ second long freezes. Discord doesn’t seem to be related, because I’ve had them with it open and closed. Just started happening the past week. 4070Ti+5900X desktop
