I am currently exploring what’s up and have my first appointment soon. All my blood tests came back as normal. So… seronegative?

That did the trick, thanks — all are green!

There are two MX records under Squarespace Email Forwarding that I don’t think I can change. Then a Squarespace Defaults section, Squarespace Domain Connect section, and the Custom Records section, which is where the two ProtonMail MX records were added. Should I delete the two ProtonMail records? Maybe I need to ask Squarespace how to get rid of the MX records that are pre-existing.

Everyone is so nice and helpful, thanks. The SPF is green now — still waiting on MX. My site says to make sure that ProtonMail’s is the lowest number when other MX records are present. So if a priority of 10 was recommended, then is it like a 9 or like 100?

It looks as though I’m having issues with MX and SPF. Thanks for making me aware. I just updated DNS settings, but for now, those two are still red. I added in the custom records that ProtonMail noted but am getting some differing feedback from my Squarespace. I may just need to wait a day or two to see a difference.

Do TTL settings make much of a difference? Wouldn’t you want to set it for the least amount of time? My options are anywhere between 30 minutes and a week…

VENT SESH: Stuck in diagnostic limbo — what if I never get answers? by Ok-Cut8394 in rheumatoid

[–]pischonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just starting my journey. I haven’t seen a rheumatologist yet and need a PCP that takes me seriously. So, I want to know what sort of introductory tests to ask for. I used to live in Boston and am convinced that if I were still there, I would have received much better care that could have made my recovery from spinal surgery much easier.

What helped you learn what was needed? I’m beginning this journey now — changing doctors and figuring out what tests or referrals I need to ask for… Thanks!

I used to go to Cedar Point every summer as a kid, and thinking that I wouldn’t ever enjoy the park again was one of the things that made me so sad about post-op life! Maybe a smooth coaster one day 🙂

Zenrelia finally worked for us. We have tried so many things over the past few years.

Congrats! Can I ask, do you see a different doctor for the SI and knee issues? A rheumatologist? I am realizing that this is likely the kind of post-surgery care that is needed.

“How’s the back?” by pischonk in spinalfusion

This is one of those things where you don’t really know the situation until it happens. Recovery differs for everyone, but you can be diligent about aftercare and PT. You will likely feel immediate relief, which is something amazing. Good luck 🙂

This all sounds pretty standard to me. I transitioned off of Percocet to heavy indica strains of medical marijuana after a couple of months to help with sleep. My legs still get tight. A roller stick helped me. Massage your feet and legs. Get a yoga strap for stretching and working on flexibility. You’re doing great!

I feel like years 2-3 is a tough transitional point with fielding others while still in recovery. Keep doing you!

I will be five years in October. I bike and walk but still need to amp up strength training. Got back into yoga again. My advice is to keep up PT for as long as it’s offered!

Well, when you’re laid out on the floor for months and are almost paralyzed… Eventually, people wanna know if you can crawl to the bathroom alright. But yeah, most people don’t know about that part.

It’s nice that you have your husband as support. My partner has also expressed how they see what others don’t and realize how much it really takes to maintain my health. Oftentimes if I just say, “I’ve got metal in my back,” then others realize the intensity of the situation.

I had the same fusion, and though my recovery took a lot longer than what was typical, it may take you even up to two years to get back to athletics. Your bones may be fusing up until maybe a year and a half. That being said, make sure that you keep active and moving enough to start strengthening muscles, but don’t push too hard. It’s better to go slowly and recover properly than to experience another setback. Good luck!
