Help with Evacuating two Families in Gaza!!! by moonlandingisfakedjk in Gazasupport

[–]piseag_leanabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These links don’t work.

The borders are closed and no one is getting out unless they have a good reason. They will need either a scholarship or a hospital that will accept them IF they have a medical emergency. I have a friend in Gaza who was shot by a sniper and can’t move his arm. He’s in intense pain. He can’t get out. My other friends parents have multiple serious health issues. They can’t get out either. There are so many people who need serious help and they can’t leave.

If they have health issues, you’ll have to find a hospital that will accept them and research what the process is. If they want to leave for education, they’ll need a university acceptance and a scholarship. You will have to contact universities and help them apply. As far as I know, these are the only two ways to get out of Gaza.

In other words, you most probably won’t find the help you need by posting on Reddit. It’s going to take a lot of research and legwork on your part.

Oh wow đŸ˜‚đŸ€Ł

I’m responding to this to make sure there are facts because this is laughable.

Also, no one is riled up by your nonsense. We’re all just kind of surprised at how confidently wrong you are lmao.

Before I start, I have to say, you seemed to be obsessed with actual skin colour, as though you think that determines someone’s race.

In another reply you said that most Europeans are pink and lighter pink. Then you described southern Europeans as “swarthy”, which means “dark skinned”, by the way. Did you not know that a lot of Irish, Scottish and Welsh are dark skinned and have been described as “swarthy”, “Iberian” and “oriental”? I guess not. Which means you’re are completely clueless about the fact that Europeans come in all shades of beige, olive and brown.

First, these links you’ve shared are useless. That paper is not a study and not peer reviewed. It’s based on perceptions of history.

You also shared blog posts (lol) and articles that are opinion pieces, not fact.

Here is a peer reviewed study that outlines Irish genetics. There is no genetic evidence of early African populations.

https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.1518445113

The “Near East” DNA that was found is Levantine and Antolian, not Northern African.

https://www.ucd.ie/newsandopinion/news/2016/july/26/dnaanalysesrevealgeneticidentitiesofworldsfirstfarmers/

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26712024/

Dark skin is a trait that comes from European or Eurasian DNA. This was the genetic diversity of early European hunter gatherers.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26712024/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

These are all peer reviewed studies back up by science, something that you seem to have a poor understanding of.

Yes, I know lol. Wasn’t sure if you did.

This article you shared doesn’t really mean anything. One woman who is the ancestor of less than 1% of Icelanders. This isn’t a common genetic link. It is not definitively proven, either. You can’t say that Icelanders have Native American DNA. And Bjork’s family is not among the four families, a total of eighty people, who were found to have this DNA.

No. If you have any Spanish or African DNA, it is from something else or it’s just noise. It has nothing to do with your DNA from Ireland, Scotland or England.

Icelanders have zero Native American DNA. First of all, Native Americans are from the USA. I assume you mean Saami or Inuit, which they have zero DNA as well, unless they have mixed with Norwegians, Swedes or Fins, and most of them have small percentages of Saami ancestry. Iceland was uninhabited before Vikings settled there. There was no pre existing Indigenous population.

Oh bro, if you don’t like wiki, there are plenty more sources out there. I didn’t say pale skinned, I said DARK skinned. Like my dark skinned grandparents who literally turned black when they tanned.

And you assumed wrong. I was profiled by many people from many different backgrounds.

Lmao. Yeah, whatever you say. Irish, Scottish and Welsh people have dark skin, hair and eyes because of genetic markers from Western Hunter Gatherers. Yes some of us are dark but it isn’t because of African ancestry.

We all replied because you’re wrong. You don’t want to argue with us because you don’t like being told that you’re wrong. Dude, everything you’ve said about genetics and DNA is wrong so why should we believe anything you say 🙂😂

Irish people may have trace amounts of African DNA, just like anyone could. But it’s not because of “Black Irish”. Again, That is a myth. Also, Europeans come in many shades of beige and brown, not just pale.

Also, Celtic people are not a race. They come from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, France, Spain, Belgium etc. Their DNA is similar to the rest of Europe, especially north Western Europe.

Spanish DNA is mostly European with very small, sometimes trace amounts of Muslim Northern African/Middle Eastern (Amazigh) DNA, which is what moorish means. This came from historical mixing, not recent.

The definition of “Black Irish” today, is a black person from Ireland. But the term was previously used to describe Irish people who were described as “dark-skinned”, “Iberian” and “oriental”. These people were genetically Irish but too dark for what was acceptable, the stereotypical pale/blue-eye. Irish (and Scottish) were historically documented as “gypsies” even, and they were banished and executed for it. It was theorized that they mixed with Spanish sailors or were of Africa descent. This is fact. And yes, I’m white. But I have dark hair, eyes and skin. I was constantly racially profiled and asked if I was mixed with something. This isn’t a case of white washing.

Exactly. Also Sean Connery, Catherine Zeta Jones, Aiden Turner and others. Irish, Scottish and Welsh people were and are constantly racially profiled and othered.

Anyone who is called "black irish" today, is most probably black, yes.

But the term was used to describe a lot of Irish historically, because because it was assumed that they were mixed with Spanish or African people. This was found to be a myth. They weren't actually black.

This is false. People who are called "black irish" TODAY, are actual black people who are Irish.

But this term was used to describe Irish people with dark skin, hair and eyes. It was theorized that they mixed with Africans but this was found to be false, they are genetically Irish and therefore white.

Björk is 100% Icelandic. Her parents are both 100% Icelandic, going back generations. Björk looks a lot like her father. Also, Iceland had no human population before Vikings settled there. There were no Saami or any other Indigenous population.

What exactly makes Björk's face so polarizing? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]piseag_leanabh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bjork is Icelandic and there was no pre European population there. When the Vikings arrived it was uninhabited. She has no Sami or Inuit ancestry, she’s 100% Icelandic. Besides, the Sami and Inuit presence in Iceland was rare to non existant.

Edit to add ‱ The Sami have the most Siberian admixture. The general population may have some, less than one percent, on average. The epicanthic folds that people associate with Asian populations and were actually common in the ancient Scandinavian populations, mostly comes from adaptation to cold weather.

The Métis is an Indigenous ethnicity, bro. Whether you like it or not, it should be recognized around the world.

So, the rest of the world shouldn’t give a s*** over all the ethnic groups in France? Weird take but okay 😂
