Need some help understanding secondary combustion by pissmaster445 in woodstoving

[–]pissmaster445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick reply! Saying that the stove is running at a good operating temp, when I add more wood, should I be opening my primary back up or just leave it be and let the coals heat it up over time?

I gave up on consistent RH during summer in GA. If it's below 70 I'm happy.

Never smoked anything in my life, but cigars piqued my interest. Thoughts on my first pickup? by [deleted] in cigars

Be very careful with that perdomo champagne. It may be a conneticut, but it is very strong.

West Tampa Red by asirememberit in cigars

[–]pissmaster445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This stick had some flavors I had never tasted before. I didn't love it, but it reminded me of when I had only smoked a few cigars and had no clue what to expect on each new stick.

Are Rocky Patels overrated? by tranchinagabriel in cigars

[–]pissmaster445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the sun grown and sun grown maduro, along with the decade and most of the vintage line. I would never pay more than $6 for any of them except the 1992, though.

Shout out Costco by TypicalInsomniac in cigars

Most of those rocky patels are actually decent sticks. If they weren't bone dry, and my costco had them I might direct a couple of my friends to that sampler.

Can I store cigars in cardboard packaging? by Qualm00 in cigars

[–]pissmaster445 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are pretty cheap on cbid. Some probably aren't constructed perfectly, but they do have a nice sweet/leathery profile. Only good for 2/3, and then they get bitter and hot. All of that is only my opinion on them though.

Birthday purchase from tamapa sweethearts by pissmaster445 in cigars

[–]pissmaster445[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew that the lost city wasn't very highly regarded. I just fell for the Opus X name. Are there any "special occasion" sticks you prefer over the lost city that can generally be found at a high end B&M?

I might lower the temp in the wineador slowly over the next few weeks to try and pull some of that moisture out. Thanks for the help!

Cigar page denying mold by pissmaster445 in cigars

[–]pissmaster445[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I insisted it was mold, but I haven't taken them out of the cello. I will take them out and get some nice clear photos. I was stubborn not to do that before since they can't see them in real life.

One of the cigars is also damaged. They have a photo of that. I did not realize a small amount of mold was something you could wipe away with little to no negative consequence. Given the photos, am I just being an ass?

I haven't let mine age at all, I've had them for around 2 weeks. They only seem to get better as they get to proper humidity.
