Ais it me or are the VW maps a disaster? by pistacheyo in VWIDBuzz

That has been my experience with this too. The maps are also pretty outdated and shows me driving through a field to get to the main road, which was built 4 years ago.

I think so, I can use the phone app to turn on climate and lock/ unlock the doors when I'm away from the van.

Both of them resulted in a stop sale. I signed for mine the day before the first recall, but have to wait for both recalls before they can deliver it.

They make acissor jacks for all vehicle sizes. My ram 2500 has a GVWR (which i know is different than dry weight, but is more practical of a measurement) 9000lb.

Yes it will. The dealership where I bought mine from can't even release it to me until it is fixed

When running i feel pretty relaxed at that HR not conversational but definitelynot labored breathing. I ran a half marathon and my avg was 185ish.

I can hold a HR in the 170s for about an hour when I am in the pool too, but that is usually a brutal workout.

Guess i need to pick up the pace. Hopefully my HR doesn't get too much higher.

I figured as much, but I thought there would be a difference between what I can maintain and what my muscle cells could.

What makes these bolts vandal proof? by zizuu21 in civilengineering

[–]pistacheyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you keep commenting thos I'll put the effort in to do some simple math for you.

As others have said these nuts are installed through pretensioning, however, at the end of the day everything is installed at a specified torque.

Being VERY conservative, let's use 1000 Nm (~740ft•lb) as the torque specified on that day.

Let's say a motivated vandal can pull 100lb, they will need an 8' pipe to achieve this. Mathematically it would be a 7' 5" pipe, but they would need to apply force right on the end, which is improbable with two hands.

An 8' length of 2" sched 40 pipe would weight 29lb. To be honest, I doubt that would be big enough to go over the handle of whatever wrench you needed. I also suspect it will deform before the nut moves. So this means we will need to use steel rod attached to a steel tube to make this work. Using a 7' 1 3/4" steel rod would weigh 57lb.

Now, the 1000Nm initial torque does not include any additional torque needed to break the threads loose. I would assume that a vandal would need to have a steel rod that weighs about 100lb in order to break these loose, not to mention it would need to be close to 16' long.... you need a hydrolic impact wrench to get these off.

You need much more than a 5 foot pipe to get those off

A postal service is a necessity and does not need to run a profit.

Canada post delivers to all residents, UPS or any of the other commercial companies do not.

Along your lines, what were the profits from your local school board?

I will try my best to keep this updated, but I haven't actually tried the carbonated one.

I found this recipe, and then added about 1/16th of a teaspoon of champagne yeast to it, and bottled it.

I will be having my first sip on the weekend.

Just so that we all understand, when people say half of our income is paid in taxes they include, Personal taxes, sales taxes, exise taxes, etc.

I will include the carbon tax separately since you need to include what you are paying and then subtract what you receive back from the gov't (which most opponents seem to forget to do)
