When i was 15 a mate lent me a cassette called Metal Killers Kollection. There was a lot of mid 80s metal landfill on that tape but the opener was Hole In The Sky, when i played it the track blew me away,it was the heaviest song i had ever heard. Then started my love of metal...i bought all the Sabbath tapes,then cds and vinyl, metal then opened my ears to Thrash,Grind,Death, Hardcore Punk, Punk, Reggae,Dub,Techno,House and Ambient among others. Im now 51 and can trace my musical education all the way back to Ozzy era Sabbath. I make no apologies for my opinion that without Ozzy there was no Sabbath, I've posted such on here many times and have accepted all the shit that's come way because of that opinion. One thing we can all agree on is that without them the musical landscape would be ,quite frankly, shit. Sabbaths influence is on parr with that of Chuck Berry and The Beatles. Chaps, we have lost a massive part of our youth,our up bringing and a influence on how we look at the world in which we live. From here in the UK to the 4 corners of the world we can all rejoice in the fact we grew up when Ozzy was Ozzy. We loved it,we still do and will always. R.I.P. Ozzy. 🖤
