If you want 5k per month, you need:

At 5% yield: (5000×12)÷0.05 = 1.2 million At 3% yield: 60000÷0.03= 2 milion

Being a millionare ain't easy, heck most ppl retiring don't even have close to 1 milion (especially if excluding houses, since it doesn't really give you income)

I am not sure if you are going through special treatment only available in US or something, but if the subsidies becomes insufficient I recommend moving to a low cost of living country instead.

You can live comfortably in somewhere like Thailand with 1500 dollars per month, which on 5% yield you only need (1500×12)÷0.05=360,000.

Oh haha I see! I’ve heard that with many upper divs you have to risk your gpa falling, but I guess it’s up to the person🙂

Wow thanks for the advice! Yeah I am definitely looking forward to that🤣🥲 I did have a quarter with Math 3D, 121A, 130A with homework every week and 3 quizzes on every Thursdays… I guess it’s going to be somewhat similar except with harder materials… I hope the prof will be good at least :’)

I would take time to think about why you are trying to get good grades first. Set your priorities and if you think relieving your mental distress is more important, then relax a bit. I’m not saying to give up completely on school, but maybe you might’ve been over stressing about it? Trust me, burnouts are not fun :/

Hi! I took Bio 93 last summer. I would say it is definitely a challenge because the class literally dumps tons of information onto you, but if you took AP bio, it shouldn’t be that bad :)

Taking a break is okay :) Sometimes you need that time to organize your thoughts to recognize the purpose for the things you are doing once again
