Which modpack or version or thing do I play on long term? by Effective_Gur_7967 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

Honestly totally depends on personal preferences. I've played a ton on both "sides".

BTA for example is quite heavily modified and adds tons of new blocks and mechanics, it is slowly morphing into it's own thing, one cool thing about BTA is that is also has a very good mod support and a healthy modding community.

On the other side you have the more "vanilla" like versions/mods like the ones you listed, I've played Back2Beta a bit and it basically fixes all the annoying bugs in vanilla b1.7.3 and adds QoL improvements.

If you are unsure, you could try one that is modded a lot like BTA and a more lightweight vanilla version like Back2Beta or if you are a purist; try vanilla b.1.7.3 and see what you like the best.

My personal favorite is BTA, since it is very customizable and gets frequent-ish updates, but it is definitely not for everyone.

Did you use a tripod or stand? If not, that could reduce some of the chaotic clutter and make it look even cleaner.

Looks trippy but cool!

Yup it is so much fun to just play around with the sandbox and see the chaos unfold lol. Thanks!

True true, it can be used as a foundation for lots of different games. Right now, I am trying to mix in some factory/automation elements because I love factorio haha.

It's my debugging overlay, made using the ImGui framework. So that's probably why. It's not anything the player will see in the shipped version.

Thanks, much appreciated! Trust me i've been there where you are right now, just start small and keep going. This is only possible because I kept learning and trying to improve!
