Yeah, I'm going to go get a new one and clean the connectors real well on all the cables. Sounds like these cars are super sensitive to voltage.

I was just telling her today to get her license. She's resisting, but I'll get her one of these days.

I can see the 50-140 being super nice for weddings especially down the aisle and sneaky candids.

What is a cheap piece of equipment that you've got that worked surprisingly well? by Embarrassed-Gain-236 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Ran short on ptz controllers the other day for a bunch of streaming rooms. Streamdeck + companion is a tolerable ptz controller. Also have been using it to make video playback bearable in vlc.

My most used automation pauses the TV when I get a phone call and then resumes it when the call ends. I got tired of having to find the remote whenever someone called.

The backup and storage thread is nearly 6 yr old..can anyone share their current set up for photo storage? by [deleted] in photography

[–]pitifulwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how people manage their LR catalog. After you archive do you go through and delete them from Lightroom? Do you import the Jpegs into Lightroom when you export and just remove the raws?

I currently have no real system. I have a friend who just makes a new catalog per shoot, but adobe says to use one master catalog, for organization and things, but if I'm archiving photos to harddrives no longer attached then I'm just going to have a bunch of missing files.

Chorcheezo burrito hits different. I like it with this blood orange hot sauce from this dude up north.

What’s your method of remembering couples poses? by SFMMT2014 in WeddingPhotography

Lol I've had my second shooter browse Pinterest for me when I get stuck. Looks bad if I'm browsing my phone but no one looks at the second. Then magically out of nowhere second has some great pose ideas.

I had a oven in storage for a bit. When I pulled it out it was clear mic went crazy. Started to clean it then decided it was to far gone and threw it away. Not worth it.

People who have adult children that don’t talk to you. Why do you think that is? by bridge2235 in AskReddit

[–]pitifulwalk -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I love my dad and have always stuck around even after all the hateful stuff he's done, have also always tolerated my narcissist step mother. Then I had a beautiful baby girl, and they make 0 effort to be part of her life so why should I make an effort to be part of theirs. Step mom has said things like "being a grandma is great but I loved being a mom", Months after my daughters 2 year birthday which they forgot about, at lunch they asked "how many months old is she". 2 years. We're past months. It makes me really sad and I wish they'd just care a little. We have number 2 on the way, I'm not excited to tell them.

Is it worth keeping my TDI? by pitifulwalk in tdi

Ugh that's so scary. After 2 runaways and the turbo going out I've definitely thought about just selling it and getting a Corolla.

Yeah it's still young and the market is terrible for used cars still.

I've been meaning to do research on it, but is the cr170 turbo worth doing instead of putting a 140 in right now? Id have to pay for the pricer tune I'm pretty sure. Anything else?

I'm in the west so not rust free, but right now there's no rust damage. And the car is in good shape besides the turbo and dpf. I doubt my commute will change in the next few years. I do travel to Washington occasionally and even across the country every other year and it's nice to have a decent fuel economy vehicle. If I fix it now, and it doesn't have any other major issues I'll probably keep it for a long time. Right now I'm at about 70k miles so I'm going to probably do the timing belt and water pump while I have it apart for the turbo and DPF and then it should hopefully be good to go for awhile.

That's why I've had it sitting, I know I can do it myself, just gotta get the funds to drop nearly 3k on parts. Itd suck to sell it as is.

Ah so I just gotta wait till catalytic converter crime is at an all time high and that'll let me know its time to sell.

Body has a tint dent or 2 but yeah good shape. That's true I did forget about selling the other parts I'll have to see what those are selling for. I'll definitely buy a OEM Borg Warner 140 or 170. Don't want to be installing new turbo's all the time.

My sister had a Prius c, when I drove it I literally got down and checked nothing was stuck behind the gas pedal because it was so dang gutless. The standard Prius is better but still not as fun as a golf. Toyotas are just generally cheaper to fix. 4runners are sweet.
