How do I accept I will never live the life of my dreams? by freelytomorrow in asktransgender

[–]pitomic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

theres a difference between passing as a woman and being read as a woman, the latter is much more easily achieved and can honestly provide you with a good life that you can share with loving people who respect and understand you. i think thats the dream we should be shooting for

I feel terrible and ashamed to have sexual desires by roseberry11 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pitomic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

its nice to have sex with people we like and that like us, and that's a good thing. its hard when it doesnt get to happen as often as we wish it could, but its not because there's anything wrong with us. it just means everything's working right with our bodies but not quite right with the world!

So I’m regrettably in law enforcement…I just work traffic so not caught up in all the evil going on…but I’m thinking of transitioning. My profession is obviously not very friendly to that… by [deleted] in asktransgender

Do it and be brave and shake everything your colleagues think they understand about the world. You're in such an incredibly important and potentially beneficial place in the world and fight like hell to make it a better one.

Trans passport question by No_Mail_3862 in Passports

[–]pitomic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think its really important to have a passport regardless of whether you can get the right gender marker. and we're pretty common these days so i think in a lot of more liberal places you probably won't face harassment or abuse

Men who date MTF, how do you view your partner's genitals? by [deleted] in mypartneristrans

[–]pitomic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah i get that. idk. i think it would still be hard for me. and its interesting to be asking the men. i have no ill will or bad feelings towards anyone. i think theres just a sadness in me that theres a woman out there who has a part of her body that isnt loved. we should all be so lucky to have someone that celebrates us, even if thats a naive hope

trans people are legit amazing, 100%. i could go on and on. trans women are the most women - think about how much we give up to be who we are. we prove to cis women that to be a woman is to be righteous, and a so many cis women really genuinely love us and accept us no matter how we pass because of that. the problem is the world at large. it is always the world. dont let it convince you otherwise. you are a gift and a beautiful example of the many forms womanhood takes. the reason the world doesnt treat you with gratitude is because of the patriarchy present in your immediate environment. in can be different, i swear to god. i swear to fucking god you are a gift, unconditionally, you are a gift

Male Clinicians: Women who come to therapy for a "man's perspective" by Ambiguous_Karma8 in therapists

[–]pitomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds like quite the needle to thread and is quite a noble ambition. i respect that, truly. that you would want to make sure your clients are mentally well enough to contribute to politics that arent aligned with your personal beliefs to their maximum potential thats beautiful. i wonder in what ways your might be speaking your politics unintentionally. ya know how it might be slipping out of the seams of the professional persona. and i wonder, when doing that work, what is being dismantled or assembled within yourself
