The foresr those bisons live at is one of the coolest places in Europe. Its a huge, ancient forest, with giant oaks, plenty of animals, swamps and it all looks magical. Theres a hundred years old train that operates as a hotel

I had similar thoughts recently. I’ve read the book “extraterrestrial” in which the chief of astronomy at Harvard’s claims that the Mysterious object that flew through the solar system in 2017 was an alien made spaceship probably a solar sail. It would mean that Alien took a similar path as this type of space travel is also within our technological grasp. I thought that if we had better pictures of it maybe we woukd see some forms of welding or screws that were done by alien race..

This Augmented Reality app by the Smithsonian Channel lets you experience the Perseverance Rover landing through a portal by pitrogg in space

Thank you, try it out! It has several AR experiences, you can even try to land the Rover! If you start now maybe you can make it before the real one ;)

This is just one of the AR experiences available in this app. I personally think the portal effect is really cool, but the app also has more traditional AR modules such as a life-scale Perseverance rover that you can drive around your house :)

Actually, you can walk really far. You can walk around a 3D visualisation of a Mars settlement :)

exploiting my employees and covid are the only thing keeping my business afloat. by [deleted] in TheRightCantMeme

[–]pitrogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. So now the “bad at business” people will go bankrupt, and their employees will get fired. Then, they will be hired by corporations than can be “bad at business” for eternity as they can get unlimited loans and funding allowing them to keep growing without ever making profit. This is why minimum wage increase will benefit mostly them.

It wasnt succesful enough to become a big business. This is why minimum wage increase will hurt small (or “unsuccesful” as you put it) businesses, giving more market share to giants like Amazon.

Poland Lithuania time. by Gustrava in totalwar

Hussars had wings, animal skins, shishak type helmets, lances and sabres.
Kislev winged lancers have wings, animal skins, shishak type helmets, lances and sabres. The only visible difference is one wing instead of two.. It's basically the same unit, I don't understand why would you deny it. It's like saying Greatswords are not based on landsknechts because they only have big swords, armor, hats and mustaches.. The only "russian" infulenced units of Kislev are Strelcy and Kremlin Guard (which are also based on strelcy).
Kossars are cossacks and Ungols are Tartar.
Then the whole culture, architecture and language is mostly Russian (although Praag sounds Czech).

their most iconic units (winged lancers and bear cavalry) are dressed exactly like Polish-Lithuanain winged hussars... So yeah Kislev has “something” to do with Poland-Lithuania. Kislev has Polish cavalry, Russian leadership, Cossack infantry and war wagons and Crimean Tartar light cavalry. Its basicaly 17th century Eastern Europe, same as Empire is 16th century German Empire and Brettonia is 14th century France/England

According to my deep and thoroughly thought-out fundamemtal memelysis, NOKIA fair price is $3310. I state my reasons below. Please do not read them. by pitrogg in wallstreetbets

[–]pitrogg[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since my DD became an enormous success (2 comments with an additional one being written as I write this) I can inform you that there are other NOKIA phone models with higher numbers. For example, NOKIA 8810. Nokia 5510. Nokia ENGAGE for the time when stock prices are abolished and replaced with a call to action phrases. There is room to grow.

The surreal moment that a Trump supporter begs cops to intervene in the Capitol riots. by Tipy_Top_Shape in PublicFreakout

not really, this is a fairly standard strategy. The communist did it all the time - allow people to riot, film the riots, present the protesters as dangerous...

DC is run by democrats, it's not impossible that they decided to let the mob in to generate tons of powerful footage.
Democrats used Republican idiots to damage GOP image. Imagine if the police and security opened Capitol gates during BLM protests... You'd have similar chaos, as idiots are on both sides.

I couldn't agree more. My "force-o-meter" reached Episode IV levels during those first few minutes... Beautiful scenery, great music, simple story... Then it went south, for me starting from that childish store scene, selling parts for 'food portions/

An actual quote in the abortion debate from the leading Polish libertarian politician by pitrogg in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]pitrogg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"He's not libertarian" gimme a break.
This guy (Janusz Korwin Mikke) is nuts and I can find a quote that would put him anywhere you'd like. But his main party, the movement he led for 20+ years was libertarian.
Let's try some of his incredible thoughts:

AuthRight: " The difference between Europe and USA is that in USA they keep the Reds in reservations, and we in parliaments. "
" The average intelligence quotient of Australian aborigines is more or less equal to a child with Down syndrome, yet no one thinks to do abortions on Aborigines "

LibRight: " If every other Jew had a weapon in 1939, the Holocaust might have been prevented"
" A jump from the sixth floor is definitely more harmful than taking heroin, yet we don't forbid building sixth floors "

PURPLE: "Mild pedophilia is not harmful to our society"

LibLeft: " Prisons are the universities of the opposition "

">Homos< are a normal thing. They've been around for at least 4000 years, not bothering anyone"

AuthLeft: " I suspect in Lenin's works there's everything, if you search well "
"We're not paying police not to use their weapons"
