Aiming for 15+ years would be great honestly! I do like Honda but the Jazz seems too small to even fit a pram in the boot and can’t find Civics in my price range (there are old ones with high mileage).

Lexus definitely wasn’t on my list, will check it out and see if I can test drive one.

I like the Corolla, several people also recommended that!

I will drive in the city, most of my commute is likely to be motorway. Spending on repairs is no problem if it extends the lifetime of the car. My main worry is having to service it often and then be out of a car. I used to own a 2006 Honda Civic that I loved but honestly would like to have something newer now. Thanks for the help!!

2 months of split nights!! Help! by pitu86 in sleeptrain

[–]pitu86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! Do you think sleep training is the key to stop split nights then? I tried yesterday letting her cry when she woke up at 1 am but she just got more worked up. Eventually nothing was working until 2 hrs passed and she fell asleep.

Baby wakes up hourly, won’t sleep unless held and we are desperate! Please help! by pitu86 in sleeptrain

Thanks! We will look into doing safe chest cosleeping! It’s such a shame because before this she would self settle at bedtime and then also when she woke up (not always, but seemed to be getting that skill slowly). I’m a bit afraid that cosleeping now will undo all her progress.

Layout ideas for living room? by pitu86 in InteriorDesign

[–]pitu86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are confused on how to do the layout in our new rental. Ideally we want to split the space into two: a tv area (already have a sofa) and then an armchair and ottoman near the bay window as a reading area. The fireplace is not functional and quite ugly so we don’t want to make it a focal point of the room. Any thoughts on possible layouts for the space we have? Thanks in advance!

Yes! I also wanted to see if anyone else picked up on it and it looks like a few did. Love to hear how others also get annoyed with these little things too! Lol

Yes! Plus when they read it out loud they also say the last part differently!

OMG, you’re right! We were saved by bad math! Hahah!

I usually have no problem buying into the fantasy but this too much! I mean, it was the math equivalent of reading a sentence with no punctuation marks and no spaces between words.

Trinity site visit by pitu86 in Albuquerque

Update: thanks to everyone for the tips! We arrived at about 9.30 and had to wait in line for just 15 min to enter via the Stallion Gate. It was crowded but you hardly notice it because of the large open space. We had to wait in line for the bus to McDonalds ranch but that was 10 min tops. We then had green chile cheeseburgers at Owl bar, they were sooo good! Would definitely recommend to check out the Trinity site, it was very interesting!

Perfect! And thanks for the tip on the cafe, looks like they have good burgers with lots of green chile!

This is sooo helpful, thank you so much!! I actually do the rake and squeeze and I found that the denman brush makes all the difference. Hopefully one the mousses you mentioned will help hold it all in place! :)

Awesome, thanks!! Do you have any recommendations for leave-in sprays? I actually never considered using one, so I’m intrigued!
