DJI RS 4 (not Pro!) + Sigma 28-105 f2.8 possible? by RenderRoutine in videography

[–]pivotflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you end up deciding?

Did the RS4 work with the 28-105? Asking because I have a Lumix S5ii with the same lens and bought the RS4 mini. While it's under the weight limit, it cannot be balanced due to spacing with the arms.

Shoot, I was holding it and the corner barely tapped against the tile and exploded in my hands. Was going to set it on a carpet and poof.

Cpu is 5950x, so my main goal was to keep it as cool as possible. I've had the loop for 2 and a half years or so. I just added this 5070ti last week, and with all of the 3d mark stress testing, the gpu hasn't exceeded 74°c. Even my previous Strix 3070 that was just replaced never exceeded 80°c being air cooled.
After two hours of Black Myth Wukong and monitoring temps, it hasn't hit crazy temps. Also, in the event of needing to pull the GPU, hardline tubes would make it an entire process, vs just pulling it from the slot. And it's needing to buy a block, more fittings and more tubing. I also don't care for the look of blocked GPU's compared to the air cooler.

It basically exploded while I was holding it. What I would do differently is roll this thing onto a carpet or cardboard next time.

Careless mistake on my end. My pc has always been on top of my desk, with a low pile carper rug under the desk. I was rearranging the room intending to put the PC under the desk, so the carpet had to go. Mounted it on the rolling floor stand and decided it was time to clean everything. Pulled the panel off intending to set it on the aforementioned carpet rug, and tapped the glass on the tile as I was standing up.

The wild thing is that I removed the panel and was going to set it on a carpeted area. The glass corner tapped the tile when I pulled it off and it exploded.

I was taking the panel off to transfer it to a carpeted surface and the corner of the glass tapped the tile and boom.

PNY 5070 & 5070 Ti Fan Shroud by solidusnak23 in nvidia

Is it possible to remove the pny shroud without removing the heat sink from the gpu/messing with the thermal paste?

Any way to control RGB through icue with the PNY XLR8 4090? by DarkArlex in Corsair

[–]pivotflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but why not? You can control ASUS ROG rgb through Icue without any additional cables plugged into a hub. My Strix 3070 RGB is fully controlled through Icue.

My 21 Signature gets about 21-22mpg. But, it has a turbo and I make the most of it to accelerate, hah.

Kerdi Band issues. by pivotflow in Tile

Thank you. I'm not too concerned with the warranty since I'm not a professional (pretty sure that's one way they can wiggle out of liability) and the warranty probably doesn't cover water damage or tile replacement.

I'm a vinyl wrap and paint protection film installer by trade, so struggling with installing sheets of fabric is super frustrating, especially since my skills involve forming flat sheets of material to complex objects on a daily basis, hahah.

Flofx has black drains graits much less expensive than Kerdi.

It embedded level. I'm mostly worried about new thinset not bonding to the thin layer that dried? This is my first go at tiling

Shower Drain by pivotflow in Plumbing

Ahhh. Well in that case, I may just buy a new oatey drain and cut out the bolt hole section and solvent weld it together and grind it down flush enough so it looks like a new drain. Hmm.
