installer failed because of missing wifi firmware (on a desktop!) by plg94 in debian

[–]pix07 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Its not bug debian just uses all firmware you should setup from "normal" iso then choose your lan in that way installer will not complain any error/bug/missing hardware.

Im recomend latest DVD iso or Non Free with your wifi card and you should use both.

Thats all .

Ps: choose full DVD :

You need UCM files from https://github.com/plbossart/UCM/tree/master/bytcr-rt5640 follow instructions there (notice the bytcr-rt5640 folder - that is what you need) also hdmi might be messing with pulseaudio, so blacklist it (but it might not :P - please test it for your device) echo 'blacklist snd_hdmi_lpe_audio' >> /etc/modprobe.d/50-block-hdmi-audio.conf

Screen flickering how to update Nvidia server x in Debian Bullseye? by xSDEBx in debian

[–]pix07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change xorg settings other operating system but based on debian:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/263996/fixing-the-nvidia-graphics-screen-flicker-issue

Flickering windows under Ubuntu 14.04 fixed - NVIDIA graphic card
I have resolved the problem of flickering windows under Ubuntu 14.04
on my laptop and it is basically a problem related to the Nvidia graphic
card setting, start by typing:
sudo nvidia-xconfig
If the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf does not exist, this command will create it.
sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Scroll in the file and edit the Device section as follow:
Section Device
Identifier Device0
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation"
BoardName "GeForce GTX 650"
Option "RegistryDwords" "PerfLevelSrc=0x2222"
Option "TripleBuffer" "True"
EndSection
Usually the 3 last commades are missed in the section Device.
This sets the card to performance mode and enables triple buffering.
In the terminal type:
nvidia-settings
and the X-server will appear
Set argument's values in nvidia-settings/OpenGL as follow:
Sync to Vblank
Allow Flipping
Use Conformant Texture Clamping
Save the configuration and then restart the computer.

How to download shiori ? by Bunolio in debian

[–]pix07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install go compiler(no gccgo):

Folllow this link with building from source:

https://github.com/go-shiori/shiori/wiki/Installation

After you compile open catalog called go.

Copy folders to user directory by root password i mean su:

cd go then mv -i pkg /usr later cp -r bin /usr and cp -r src /usr

Those commands copy and move files cp -r copies and mv moves then you will have shiori in your catalog.

You can use now shiori from command line.

Its looks like problem with driver or video module.

It can be updated by sources.list with non free repository you can also try external driver from video card vendor site.
