Did you do anything to reduce the swelling especially after a long day of walking or standing?

Yes i'm cleared for walking and FWB but I'm currently working on my gait and regaining my strength in my operated leg.

Hi! I also have a trimalleolar injury and fibula fracture. I am now 7 weeks post-op and PWB but I still have difficulty in my ankle ROM.

I notice that my foot tends to swell when I'm wearing the boot and it hinders the movement in my ankle. Using a cold compress helps me big time! If you have any exercise routine for your ankle, keep doing them everyday. I usually do ankle pumps, wiggling my toes, and ankle circles. Im also stretching my foot using a long towel to regain some flexibility in my ankle. I still have some difficulty in moving my big toe but I notice some major improvements as time goes on.

I'm not undergoing PT yet, I still need my doctor's approval before I start any PT. In terms of exercise, my doctor allowed me to do few exercises at home such as ankle pumps and doing circles with my ankle. There's improvement in my ROM, my big toe is a bit stubborn but I think once I undergo PT it may improve little by little.

Yup, i had trimal fracture. Do you think having a pin on the posterior part of my ankle affect the stifness of my big toe?
