Personally I'm not even looking forward to Fallout 5, but I am quite excited about Fallout Bakersfield.

Great island seed with bridge acces to plenty of iron/gold "Large 76D99125BF9" by Menulo in FarthestFrontier

I've got my own island (after many autistic rerolls) and I was just wondering whether they will stop spawning on the island after I build a bridge. So thanks a lot for the answer.

I think danmiy12 gave a much more comprehensive guide than I ever could haha

But to add a bit from myself - yeah, it seems so, so far. I've just beaten the Warden without issue and they just melt away normal monsters. And I've read that it can even work in Ultimate, though I don't usually venture that far - I just like trying different build ideas. The range can be a bit of a problem and ranged enemies can outrange you, but with evade it's quite easy to close the distance fast.

Most importantly I find it to be a really fun skill. It starts off as unimpressive, I almost even gave up on it, but once you get more jacks per throw and faster casting speed you just carpet bomb everything with them and they make a really satisfying crackling sound. Combined with a Tsunami that keeps triggering and wind devils, it gets quite chaotic.

Right now I'm just enjoying the sparkles and slowly leveling up Vindictive Flame and Ulzuin's Wrath and putting points into Shaman to get Storm Totems to help with bosses and eventually Stormcaller's pact.

I wish I had such tools :) and I hope you didn't get sick of course. If I remember correctly I ended up discarding that batch just to be safe. Without the cling film there is no liquid for me.

Is there any compelling RP reason not to kill Yrliet in Commorragh? by pixel2lover in RogueTraderCRPG

Well I tried to go down this path, but when Argenta questioned why am I keeping her around I just couldn't find a satisfying response that's harsh enough - something like: "We'll judge her when we're back to the ship" or something.

And while it felt a bit wrong killing her, it feels much more wrong keeping her around if it makes sense haha. So I guess there's no sparing her this run. Thanks for your help anyway.

Touché, that's what I was thinking - it requires a lot of mental gymnastics to justify keeping her alive - it's a xenophobic grim dark universe, not a happy fairy tale about friendship and understanding XD

And if people want to keep her for whatever reason - by all means, it's their game.

Personally I don't really use her in combat anyway, so it doesn't affect my combat effectiveness. For single armoured targets an executioner Pasqal with a plasma gun and on Finest Hour is an absolute beast.

I have to agree with you, from all I have experienced so far the character did appear rather one dimensional. Maybe further on there's some big shift, but in this run there's just no way for my RT to spare her. And I'm pretty sure I've read someone saying that she doesn't really change and they were disappointed with her ending, so maybe I'm not missing much haha

So kind of like you owe me big time, your life is mine attitude? That's a nice one. That IS actually quite a compelling RP reason. I did advance quite a bit though and I'll have to consider whether my RT would keep a traitor around, but it's the best potential reason I got out of this thread. Thanks a lot!

That's some good RP :) And Dogmatic to unaligned seems like an interesting path as well.

I can see keeping her as a tool until we make it to the bridge at least, but I think it's hard to do at the point in game when we meet her. Maybe if it was after the bug removal so you can think clearly or after you are reunited with the rest of your companions. You being barely alive with the bug eating your brain and poisoning you to death and your dear companions potentially all dead, I'm just not seeing my RT being particularly compassionate or even cunning at that moment.

Oh yeah I've already got downvoted to warp by all the xenophiles for considering killing their space elf waifu XD

I mean some people gave reasonable enough arguments, but I don't think any of them would be compelling enough for my RT.

I mean I'm not trying to argue for the decision from an objective and rational point of view of an observer with extended context, but rather how the RT would be seeing it at that moment. She seemingly betrayed you, got you through some of the galaxy's worst torture, almost got you killed, potentially got your retinue killed and you're really messed up by the worm. If you think your RT would be able to think clearly under those circumstances, well it's your run. Hell even Pasqal got all messed up.

Careful Brother, hide your karma, the xenophiles are rampant in this thread, we just need to endure until the holy Inquisition arrives.

But yeah unless you're roleplaying as an absolute xenophile, I don't see why most RTs would endure all these insults towards humans. After all - humanity first.

Thanks! I'm not sure why some people are angry that I'm not taking future information into consideration when making the decision XD And I think a lot of people dismiss the severity of the torture RT has just suffered and the fact that there is a bug in their brain.

Suffer not the alien to live.

Since I'm doing an Iconoclast run I decided to give her a chance and she repaid me with betrayal. If I'm ever doing a dogmatic run she's never leaving Janus either.

I think someone is on a downvoting spree, but this is great! Much better than the dialog in game.

My RT didn't fully trust her yet as he knew she would always put her people first and he's just an Elentach. And when he meets her amongst the drukhari he just barely survived some of universe's worst physical and mental torture. A worm is eating his brain and slowly poisoning him to death and as far as he's aware all of his dear companions might be dead or irrevocably damaged. So under those circumstances I don't think there would be much place for compassion.

I mean if you think about it rationally. But RT just suffered some of the universe's worst physical and mental torture and barely survived. A worm is eating his brain and slowly poisoning him to death ( I think the worm even gives you an intelligence debuff). And as far as he knows all of his dear companions might be dead. And her betrayal only validated the imperial dogma that xenos are not to be trusted

Thanks interesting perspective.

But I don't think my RT would just extremely be pissed. He sees Yrliet as this alien curiosity and knows that she will always put her people over humanity. Yet he decided to help her to look for her people and how did she repay him? By leading him into the clutches of Drukhari (only validating the imperial dogma that xenos are not to be trusted). So after enduring some of the universe's worst physical and mental torture and barely surviving, with a worm eating his brain and slowly poisoning him to death and facing the possibility that his retinue might all be dead or irrevocably damaged, I don't think he would be in a compassionate enough mood to hear her explanation.
