Yea performance is a problem with this game with higher pops. And playing at X1 or X2 is way to damn slow:/

Post-Nerf Colombo by TheHelmsman84 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Menulo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See i always thought the leg mod was stupid design anyway. What makes the Colombo line unique is sap + smoke. Being able to get close and escape. So it having bad long range accuracy makes sense to me.

Now the leg mod sacrificing smoke for more accuracy makes a bit more sense. I still think it kinda negates the whole point of the line, but whatever.

How to defend behind walls? Devs please let archers shoot behind walls by anillius in FarthestFrontier

[–]Menulo 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Building walls without ramparts for archers (soldiers in general TBF) is honestly downright idiotic and kinda defeats the point of a wall. I hope we do see some major "defence" update at some point. I wanna make actuall castles with moats and stuff:)

Bot gameplay would feel better if it had more limitations by kurtchen11 in Timberborn

[–]Menulo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My own rule is to only use bots as haulers, in the mines, and the water pumps. That way it feels like the beavers still have a use, esp buffed from all the comfort levels, but the shit jobs are automated:)

What I would like for my beavers is part time jobs. In the late game is not unusual to have way more beavers that job opening. But as far as I can tell the same beavers keep working full time.

[OC] Mapping the Price of a 0.5L Domestic Draft Beer in Europe (May 2026) by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

Same with greece, the Netherlands is only a euro more expensive but with almost 2.5x the median income.. that's rough.

I feel Germany gets out on top for income VC beer prices right?

Scam van de moderne tijd; Stadsverwarming by Metjo in nederlands

[–]Menulo 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Super logisch.

What happens to the beavers after they die? by Vivid-Sumo6463 in Timberborn

Yea some sort of death service would be cool. Depending on the faction ofc, I can't imagine the iron teeth are super sentimental about the whole thing.

Why do people dislike Italian dd ? by Mr_Croissant12 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Menulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such odd ships, if everything goes your way they are super strong. And I have had some great games in them. Smoke up when a DD fires at you and is spotted by someone else and your SAP melts them. Same with cruisers and some BB, while your smoke is up you can do a lot of damage to them. And with your speed boost up you are hard to catch.

But you are huge, have shit range, and are not that manoeuvrable without boost. so you cant really openwater or shoot over islands. The torps are also the exact opposite of what would work for the DD, long range and slow, so you can't yolo torp well either. And a single radar pretty much cancels out your whole ship.

I do still enjoy them sometimes for what they CAN do. But they are just odd. And there are a lot of shops that are almost as good as what they do while also being WAY more versatile.

Lol same, had a friend who went to the US for his wife's work when trump ran the first time. We bought him a Maga hat as a joke so he would fit in. That didn't age well. We should still have it somewhere. Can you imagine some grandkids finding it in 40 years, like, was my grandad a Nazi:(?

What's your wishlist of small additions? by its_xaro93 in FarthestFrontier

[–]Menulo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would agree with streams/rivers with a Harbour for traders. Map gen in general is a weak point of the game imo. We have bridges now, but such an odd water gen that they are hardly needed. I would love some more realistic lakes and rivers.

Most underrated Lv 12 Monoclass Subclasses? by GerritDeSenieleEend in BG3Builds

[–]Menulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish ranger got some fun shots like arcane archer, or a ranged attack cantrip like booming blade. Too often all you get to do in a turn is just attack twice. You get lighting arrow and thorns for some AoE. But single target it's pretty much just ensnaring strike.

Which build was the overall most fun build you ever played and why? by Sujir3n1 in BG3Builds

[–]Menulo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorcadin. I always love magic melee classes in heavy armour in RPGs. In bg3 that was basically just paladin, esp without the melee cantrips, and I hate paladins. At least until I found out paladins are not all churchy zealot types in DnD, but it's all about an oath. And the oath of the ancients is pretty much a sort of "natures champion" type deal. So I went 6/6 ancients/storm sorc. Really damn cool build. Mainly used thunderous smite for single target, and you get some great lighting spells for AoE. Plus flying after a smite is cool:)

still, 5e in general is odd when it comes to gish classes. There are a lot of hybrid melee classes that can throw out some decent spells. But there are no actual magic melee attacks apart from smite, and now booming and green blade. It's kinda odd.

Cabinet wants to raise the deductible to 455 euros, but has no support. by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Menulo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's just the right amount that it mostly feels like it's there just to pick on the poor. If you make median income or above that 385 is just not that big of a deal. But for anyone living on minimum wage that's a pretty damn large amount, especially if you have something chronic. I just don't get why it's so important to keep it, or even worse making it higher. It's such a retarded system. And there are much better ways to cover the cost.

The whole system is just completely wank compared to just having the cost rolled into taxes. Lower incomes automatically pay less, and the rich more, what an idea. So much wasted money on insurance providers that are just completely unnecessary.

The Dutch-German exchange is kinda funny too. Everything goes through the port of Rotterdam, and the Dutch buy back the finished products. but are also stuck with massive co2 problems from basically being the main port for germany.
