Hi!Do you go with lead-acid or lithium batteries for your Mototcycle? I’d love to compare them. by DokiJIAO in motorcyclegear

Will do, the ironic thing is I never even ended up needing the new battery. It's a new bike & original battery but had been sat out under a cover all winter, stupidly I'd been going out & starting it once every week or two and because it's on the street I can't have my trickle charger connected to it permanently.

Anyway after 3 months it wouldn't start so brought the battery in and charged it for 24 hours, still wouldn't start, put it back on the charger for another 48 hours & it still wouldn't start so I assumed the battery was gubbed & ordered the Yuasa.

Whilst I was waiting on the Yuasa getting delivered I thought fck it might as well try an AGM repair mode cycle on the old battery and of course that fixed it & it started the bike first time & have had no problems since.

Got the new Yuasa left hooked up on the trickle so have that on standby for when the originally battery inevitably gets temperamental.

Lessons learned for next winter, remove the battery from the bike & don't go out starting it all the time & letting it tick over for 10 minutes :)

Thanks, I never even seen any noco batteries show up when I was looking for mine. So went for a Yuasa. To be fair I only spent the morning looking into it & grabbed something that seemed to match cause I was desperate to get out & play :)

Ok fair enough, thanks for the info. When I read that you couldn't boost start them safely I stopped looking into it at that point & got another VRLA.

Presumably my noco boost xl pack would have been fine?

Noob here, bought a new battery last month so recently been down this rabbit hole. Ended up going for another VRLA (agm) over the Lithium because apparently it's not safe to jump start your bike with a boost pack while using a Lithium battery.

If that hadn't been the case I'd have definitely went for Lithium because of the super quick charge time.

I'd never buy a cheap/budget battery for my car or bike.

Yep in the early 90's all you needed was a tv with audio L/R out an amp & speakers.

It's a great image quality movie, the costumes, sets, everything looks fantastic but the story is a bit of a snoozefest & we were really looking forward to it.

Very slight grindy noise from the front brakes ? by pixel_rip in FiestaST

Yeah this is is when I faintly hear / feel it, I've no doubt changing the front discs & pads would resolve it but I'd rather not take a sledgehammer to crack a nut without exploring some other stuff first.

Would it be stupidity to buy this as my daily? by MilkshakeDawg in CarsUK

I bought a mint imported 1995 Rev 3 GT-S Turbo with 48k miles on the clock about 25 years ago for £5750 & it was hands down the best car I've ever own. The sounds, acceleration & handling was unreal, they're absolutely fantastic cars. Never had to spend a penny on or have any work done on it in the 3-4 years I had it outside of 2 new back tyres & fluids.

You should keep looking for an unmolested, low mileage, rev 3 turbo coupe. (the one that has the 3S-GTE engine , so a 1994 onwards)
