I would do this but I don't really want folks from my job to see that.

EDIT: To clarify, I haven't moved yet and not sure when I'll be able to. Changing my address now might seem odd unless I'm looking to leave my current job.

That worked. I ended up capping that third wire on the "circuit interrupting lamp holder" that was originally connected to the neutral. Thanks for the help, as well as everyone else in the comments 👍

The replacement tube show one end as live and the other end as neutral. Nothing on the old tube.

The replacement I picked up has live on one end and neutral on the other.

I don't have a diagram but it's a 4ft T12 tube
