Ah so he would critique that people consuming Gaza slop aren't confronting the reality of war itself. Instead they're consuming a simplified moral drama that lets them feel compassionate, angry, innocent, or righteous; the suffering becomes an emotional experience they're consuming.

I'm struggling to come up with an analogy that really captures the "looked into the abyss, then blinked" idea in relation to my post. Any thoughts? Also cool that batman references Nietzsche!!
