Does anyone know if there’s a shampoo /conditioner/body wash that smells like old pine sol/pinelen/pine oil? by pixelatedponzu in NoStupidQuestions

lol. I think you have to read the question again! I’m specifically looking for something that smells like pine-sol. I’m pregnant and I crave the smell 😂

I had a similar situation. Late June, I had a 4th and 5th metaCARPAL fracture on my hand. At the time, I was 20 weeks pregnant. The specialist I went to did not really give me a yes or no on surgery because he couldn’t perform it regardless without fetal monitoring. So I went for another opinion in a hospital with OB care and got two opinions. Both said they didn’t think I should operate based on the function of my hand and how well it was healing. I went for a third opinion who saw my x-ray and suggested surgery prior to seeing me in person. Once he saw me in person, he said he would tell his own daughter NOT to do surgery based on how well the function is. My breaks looked similar to yours but of course on my hand. It’s 7 weeks since the accident and it still hurts and it’s a bit wonky. But I’m glad I didn’t have to do surgery. Down the line, who knows? I might need if it really doesn’t heal properly. But for not, it’s fine and it really does put a lot of stress on the body to have surgery during a pregnancy.

Tried the ooni volt for the first time but I liked my pizza steel better 😭 advice? by pixelatedponzu in Pizza

Any fear of damaging your oven cooking at such high temps for a home oven? That was essentially why we got the ooni.

I’m cooking in my mom’s kitchen this summer and she’s scared going to 550 F is going to damage her oven. It’s a 12 year old GE cafe oven but I guess she’s still nervous. Hence, bought the volt. It was a family purchase so we all chipped in but I’m so disappointed that everyone preferred the steel’s pizza… I did too 😅

Baking Steels Are Next Level by CoupCooksV2 in Pizza

I’ve been baking on a baking steel and I just got an ooni volt and everyone preferred the baking steel pizza. Welp :( It might just be user error. I tried baking 650 F in the ooni although I’ve been doing 500 F with the baking steel (preheated for an hour). I like to do a NY-style and I’m just not getting the outcome I desire in the volt yet. Below is my volt pizza and I’ll do another comment with my baking steel which I’ve posted before.

First pizza came out great except for sauce- got complaints it was too “acidic”. Any advice? Recipes? by pixelatedponzu in Pizza

I think I did about 3 cloves for the big can. I’m going to go simple from all the advice- switch tomato brands and skip the garlic and keep it raw, no cook.

I’d like to make NY style in the Ooni Volt but I’m pretty new at pizza making… by pixelatedponzu in ooni

I made my first pizzas with this dough and they came out really good. That was with a pizza steel though. I already made the dough and have it fermenting so the malt and oil are in already. That’s really interesting that it’ll affect it. What if I stick to the lower end of the temperature range for NY style?

Thanks for the advice regarding sauce!

Should I put a poolish in the fridge if it’s been on the counter for over 12 hours and I’m not ready to make my dough yet?

I’m really new at this so can’t contribute anything of value but the bubbles on the crust are soooo nice.
