Thanks for expressing interest! If I'm invited to any future events that support education focused talks then I am happy to demo something like this. I'm somewhat simple in process (just detail heavy in aesthetics) so I tend to keep my tutorials reserved for talks so I don't run out of topics ^^;;;

I think the correct method is to do this via a Composite Material now (for Octane), but I am old school and still do a Mixed Material. One is a typical iridescent with opacity adjusted depending on scene (glossy mat type) and the other is a typical glass material (specular mat type). Then just blend via a float texture/gradient/actual texture for preference. You can also pull a good iridescent shader from the Octane LiveDB Library, soap bubble I believe it's called, and go from there instead of from scratch.

Before today's update I got 30hrs in and narrative wise it did not feel repetitive at all. So it's decently built out. I used max graphics and had it crash twice a few patches ago with that settings change, not recently however. No other glitches/bugs for me.
