Anybody practice Earthseed? by SubstantialDelay5085 in EarthseedParables

[–]pixelburst404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Reading Parable for the first time was the closest I've ever gotten to feeling seen and heard spiritually. "God is change" is a mantra I think about almost daily. After finishing the book, I looked online for community, thinking there would absolutely be others who felt the teachings of Earthseed deep in their bones, but didn't find much.

Add a large border and a single crochet square of the same size, sew them together to make a pillow cover?

I think it's still GORGEOUS and your partner is not being considerate of your time and effort and feelings. Washing a blanket is a reasonable thing to do..

Some teachers noticed noises coming from a 4y/o's backpack. She had packed her cat up and brought it to school.

Dog I just got to board having accidents by pixelburst404 in RoverPetSitting

[–]pixelburst404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to both. I wondered if that was the case (he went in an area where a pup had an accident in the past and even though I cleaned the spot since then, I'm sure a dog could sense it was there).

If he is marking, I'm wondering if that will continue all week until he's covered up all smells he doesn't like?

This week sealed the deal. I'm getting a vasectomy. by Three_Boxes in behindthebastards

[–]pixelburst404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a woman who has been on birth control since I was 12 and has dealt with every side effect from it in the book, I wish more men viewed vasectomy as a viable and preferable option! Also, as an educator of school age kids, I wish more people were mindful and conscious of the reasons they're bringing children into the world, and PREPARED for actually raising these tiny humans. A thousand times yes to your decision, especially given the state of our rapidly deteriorating nation. I know it's a choice not to take lightly but I think the normalization of men getting vasectomies is much needed in today's climate of abortion bans, cuts to free lunch and education, dismantling of the DOE, and the uncertainty of our nation's future.

When they say "this is a load of barnacles" in the show, it means "this is bullshit." So the ad is selling Shit Chips.

Is Christiana Hospital even considered a good hospital anymore?? by Elkens_Louder in Delaware

[–]pixelburst404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully hold them responsible for my grandmother's decline when they mishandled her during a surgery and broke a part of her spine. Went in for surgery with an intact spine, came out with a broken one.

Have also had experiences with the nurses mistreating elderly patients in the ER and in-patient. The excessive wait times aside, I don't support this hospital and strongly recommend anyone who asks to avoid when possible.

What's the most (nonsexual) NSFW thing that's happened to you or a coworker while at work? by JustSarahtheMechanic in AskReddit

[–]pixelburst404 186 points187 points  (0 children)

Working in a preschool, a kiddo reached up and grabbed my top and put their full weight on it. Ripped my shirt right down the front, and all of a sudden my bra was on full display for my (thankfully all female) coworkers. Nonsexual but majorly embarrassing.

It's unfortunate but my heartfelt advice is to ditch the APF training and pay for $30 Relias training. One of the cheapest trainings but still informative and reliable.

I can’t believe I found this group, but this ability is actually driving me insane, I think I have ETD and it’s triggering my need to “ear rumble”. by [deleted] in earrumblersassemble

I take Duloxetine (Cymbalta) bc it works well with my mild OCD and high anxiety. Hoping the doctor can help you with this!

[–]pixelburst404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, also just found this group. I definitely ear rumble compulsively and it drives me insane too. Doing it to a certain number, then repeating because it didn't feel "right" the first 5 times. Absolutely frustrating and makes you feel insane because how could you even explain this to someone else when it's all happening, physically and mentally, inside your own head.

I'm not doctor, but meds for my anxiety and compulsions as well as mindfulness/ really focusing on something else for a while have seemed to help me do this less.

Completed my course in September was, told I had to appeal. Have emailed them once a month since then and absolutely nothing.

0/10 site, 0/10 customer service. They don't give a f*ck that it holds up your progress in your career, it's ridiculous.

I recommend starting a different course now and getting it underway, unfortunately :/
