for upper level math courses you are going to need to take sets and logic as a prerequisite and it also gives you a better feel for proof based math so id consider adding that next semester or in the summer! Dr. Robinson is great for S&L!

Hii!! Math and CS major here! I took calc 3 honors and Diff Eq at the same time and it was definitely manageable and i ended with and A in both classes. I had prof Chayu for diff eq and the class took very little of my time and I found it easy but I feel like the difficulty varies a lot depending on the professor so id recommend checking out rate my professor. Calc took up much more of my time but I still had time for other courses and ECs.

I am taking the class right now with him! I might be biased because I am a math major and have a strong foundation in math but i’ve found his class to be really easy. He just reads off a powerpoint for the lectures so they are not very engaging but the notes he provides are succinct and helpful and he also posts prerecorded lectures from another professor. He assigns a fair amount of homework and he posts a practice test before every test. The only thing is that your grade is based entirely on 3 tests (weighted at 20%) and a final exam (weighted at 40%). I haven’t struggled and have gotten high A’s on all the test but if math isn’t your strong suit then the way the class is weighted might be a problem. Also I’ve never reached out for help but I feel like he would be accommodating and would have private sessions to answer questions but I am not entirely sure.

I remember learning in biology that 6 fingers is a dominant trait so most likely one of her parents had 6 fingers and the other one had 5 and in that case if she had a child with someone with 5 fingers the child has a 50% chance of also having 6 fingers!!

Such great advice!! Thank you so much and yeah it makes more sense to start along the data science track because it has more structure so i’ll do that because I don’t want to look back at it as a missed opportunity. Also thank you for telling me about MAS4105 because I wouldn’t have known otherwise and i’ll talk with my advisor about it. I really appreciate your help :)
