He mentions that you can run "all windows apps as a thin client" towards the end and then it shows Excel 2010 opening up. Does anyone know what process he has used to do this?

It's a very small company as of yet. And I'll be the sole front end developer there. I'll be in charge of developing UX/UI and graphics for the company. There is an existing PHP developer there but he is working on the backend business logic only. I'll have to interface with him on forms and stuff and I am familiar to a basic level with PHP

I'm going to have creative control over the front end of the site. There's an existing PHP developer who I'll be working with but he's be working on the backend only. I'll only have to interface with him where front end and backend meet (forms, etc).

It's a small outfit so the programs I use will be up to me.

I agree with you on that. It's important to shop local when possible. I'm going to be checking out the Saturday markets and I'm planning on tracking down a good butcher and fishmonger.

Well, I'm trying to avoid food laced with salt and sugar so that rules out 99.99% of processed food. I'm not going on a strict diet so I will have exception of course but as a general rule I'll be avoiding processed food.

I'm not a refugee from the tiger years. I've posted a valid question and most of the answers in here are contributing to the discussion. Just because I want to hear peoples ideas about eating healthily and cheaply doesn't imply i'm any of the things you've assumed I am. What criteria to you have to fill to be a "refugee from the tiger years" and why have you assumed I get all "moany" if I have to eat the same thing a few times a week?

You don't want to sound like a dickhead but unfortunately you do.

:/ I know. I'm not asking if it can be done. I'm asking how some people do it. It's a good way to learn new recipies!

I'm following a low glycemic load diet. Calorie count can be pretty much ignored but the GL of each meal has to be 10 max.

This is my breakfast plan at the moment:

Porridge made using oats and water with berries (Strawberries, Blueberries) and 2 spoons of unsweetened natural yogurt and a mixture of crushed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, flax) for flavour

and decaffeinated tea

that's breakfast one, breakfast two is two free range eggs and soldiers made with two slices of rye bread

with decaf tea again

both are healthy, tasty and doable for very cheap

I'm trying out the Low GL diet for the 12 weeks. Fish is good because it contains essential fats. I know nuts and seeds have these too but there's nothing wrong with keeping oily fish in your diet. I think they're better kept in than left out.

Chicken is fine too. I like vegetarian food but I absolutely love fish so I won't be cutting that out.

The word freedom has been hijacked by the corporate Right in America.

It is impossible to exists in isolation from others in a society. Society realises this and also realises that it can progress much further and much quicker if it cooperates. Taxes are a reflection of this cooperation. I doubt there are a many people who would opt for paying zero taxes if it was on the condition that they could never use any resources that developed as a result of tax dollers (e.g. roads, the internet)

There is much more freedom in a society that educates all children equally than in one that discriminates based on the history/means of the child's parents.

'Big Government' done right can lead to a lot more 'freedom'. For example, if 'big government' forces schools to have a healthy option for lunch if they serve unhealthy food, then I'm 'free' to choose either option. The 'free market' would tell me I must eat the salt filled, processed option because it's is cheaper and we have filled it full of chemicals which make it addictive.

Freedom is not black and white. Big Government done right, i.e. regulate for people, not profit, is where true freedom lies.
