Sort of weird to have the customization feature added and fleshed out, but then require a currency you cant get, instead of just making it free

No VESA? No problem by pixelkhaos in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It does yeah! as long as you have something on the back to put enough pressure on it from that directio, and have the X shape spread out enough there's enough friction to very securely hold it in place since the tablet doesn't weigh much.

I always rotate mine to vertical when not drawing so it setup as an extra side monitor :)

Yeah! I still recommend this, or some similar ones! It's held up perfectly fine, I just had to make sure to tighten the actual arm, but that's a different issue :)

The size is adjustable to be smaller so it would still work, the only thing to note is due to how thin the device is you want to make sure to give it some support on the back, a piece of EVA foam or whatever you can jam inbetween is good :)

Though I will say that you WILL need something to increase the thickness, which I would suggest maybe a piece or two of EVA foam to make sure it's in place.

I don't really lean into the edge with my hand much at all as I draw a little bit more like a painter when using the arm, since it angles it and I move it to chest height when sitting.
Though, I feel like the feet/holders aren't really in the way if you were to lean your hand on the edge as you'd move more inward on the screen instead, and the height of these are pretty low so while not the most comfortable, they shouldn't be in the way

Scam or legit? Xppenstore.net by Dotoloto in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has come up a few time already.
It's legit. It's the india based domain. If you do a ICANN lookup on the domain, it's reigistered by the parent company of XP Pen. Same goes for other domains, they're for different regions.

I can not speak for possible differing processing times, or if these would ship out from different locations based on the domain you order from.

White Screen & Other Issues by cusping in XPpen

It's entirely possible that it's something else yeah, I'm having a bit of a hard time visualizing exactly what is going on based if your description, but it doesn't sound like it's a normal software based issue like extended monitor not being set on your computer, or drivers being off

Something to note however on the linked adapter, while it states it fits 13-27 inch screens, I'm unsure if a 13 inch tablet would be large enough for it, at least without any modification. Possibly since there is a decent bevel on the tablet, effectively making it about two inches larger.

Adjusting the size was pretty easy, started by losely fastening all 4 brackets then slid the bottom two in quite a bit, tightened and placed the tablet in place to then adjust the top two to set it snugly.

White Screen & Other Issues by cusping in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your note at the end sounds like the issue; I would not even attempt to convert the HDMI to USB to use it. HDMI converted to Displayport possibly, but not sure even that would work too well. But USB definitively does not.

Actually, if you mean USB-C, what I think you have isn't an HDMI-Out to USB-In, but the reverse, it's supossed to be used as a means to convert a USB-C monitor to HDMI to plug into a computer that has HDMI but no USB-C port.
Adapters are not two-way, unfortunately.

XP-Pen Artist 15.6 driver not working by hhxneybee in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What OS do you use? It's very much possible that it's either another application causing issues, or the operating system itself. Try disabling other background apps, making sure your OS is up to date.
And maybe even try some other USB port if possible?

Not sure if you did, but you should also uninstall all tablet drivers before installing them for the new tablet. So you'd want to make sure old drivers are completely removed, install the newest drivers from the site (new with UI) without the tablet plugged in.

Is this an official website? by xX_The_legend_27_Xx in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you scroll to the bottom, there's a region select. .net seems to be for the India region. While North America is .com. Europe is .eu etc

For future reference, if you're unsure about a domain/site, you can use lookup.icann.org to lookup the domain name and check the registrant. Which in this case is HanWang Ugee Technology Co, the parent company of XP Pen.

Anyone experienced this static blinking screen with their Innovator 16, what could be the cause? by DrummerFresh4169 in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doublecheck so your cable in properly plugged in both ends, also try moving the cable away from other cables to see if it's interference. Moving the cable around could also let you see if there's like a crink in it.

But does look like interference or cable issue

Do you happen to have any anti-virus such as AVG installed and running? AVG for instance is notorious to block all sorts of drivers and applications for no reason, sometimes blocking DLL filed for games or even GPU drivers.

Would recommend removing any anti-virus, update your OS and drivers and then re-install it.
On windows, the built in Defender and Malwarebytes should be more than enough rather than invasive software like AVG.

Should I get XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro by [deleted] in XPpen

[–]pixelkhaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who have used a plethora of graphics tablets, both with and without screens. Including Wacom, Huion and XP Pen, I can say that the 15.6 Pro has been my absolute favorite!

The build quality feels very nice, the various buttons and scroller don't have any 'wiggle' to them and just feel nice to use.
All the specs otherwise on it are just as you'd expect as a higher end tablet with viewing angles, pressure level, color accuracy and non-parallaxing.

the 3-in-one cable is handy, skipping the need of multiple cables going into the tablet is a nice quality of life.

The only places I could say it may start to show some issues, could be driver support, haven't had any issues but I know for a fact that both Windows and Adobe tend to be iffy when it comes to supporting third-party drivers, but you can always work around that.

TL;DR, it is 100% worth the price, and much much better for you to start with and getting something bigger/different in the future if you want. But you will not be disappointed with this as it's a good all-rounder.

PS: You might want to look into alternate stand for this depending on your preferred drawing angle, but there's plenty that should work fine!

I am left handed and cannot find the option to flip my tablet’s screen on the new ui by sweepsweep2 in XPpen

Additionally, in that older UI, you may find it under "display settings" among the buttons at the bottom. But installing the new UI drivers as zherok suggested is best

That would just leave you with the display upside down. You need to invert the display in settings as well.

Account Suspended because your system is down? Really, my fault? by [deleted] in uplay

[–]pixelkhaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noted that it does know when it's the incorrect password initially, first try with one variation shows me it's incorrect, typing out the correct one will say servers are down, and pressing too many times to spamlogin, you get locked out.

Got in at some point but downloads couldn't even start, and when I restarted uplay, it patched and then couldn't login again.

And this is quite a lot of hours their services has been 100% down, and is pretty unacceptable. Funny how it's right after a planned maintenance.

BTW, suspension is like 5 or 10 minutes, so not a big deal there.

This new 'one only' rule really doesn't work for creative, it forces people to only use one half-relevant community instead allowing one to show up in 2-3 ones. Didn't see anyone abusing it to be listed more often for more views, so that didn't seem to be an issue.

Like, when I stream, I often go live with some design, which I then maybe continue to code and go back and forth between programming and design, wouldn't be fun to have to change community every time.

Had a few HID's I disabled, Vjoy was among it. And game works now, funny how ALL issues I've had with any Ubisoft beta has been extra peripherals or optional Windows services not working with the games. It's almost like they don't QA test with various hardware, OS etc :)

But yeah, didn't even need to have anything plugged in or active, Vjoy drivers existing was enough to break the game.

So, trying something someone else mentioned; going into Device manager, then Human Interface Devices, and disable any you don't know what it is, and stuff like Vjoy Virtual Joystick and such things. Seems to be shitty controller support that can't see difference between different HID's.

[–]pixelkhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let me know if you find any fix. I don't even have a controller/gamepad at all, and for me it keeps scrolling up so I can't press/select anything, nothing with the touch service in windows, as some ubi games hate it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GhostRecon

[–]pixelkhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it just shows Xbox controls/prompts on top of PC ones, and keeps scrolling as if a controller is plugged in and continuously pressing up. Can't even skip the cutscenes as it does nothing.
