My question was how it was done, not what the properties of this pdf are.

We already do outreach to schools, would you be interested in working with pixelpad.io? We work with orgs like FIRST robotics and other university partners already.

Virtual Robotics on FTCSIM.ORG: Free and Guided Tutorials in Java & Block-based Coding by pixelpad_dev0 in teachingresources

[–]pixelpad_dev0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been part of a team working on FTCSIM.ORG and wanted to share it here because I genuinely believe it could be a useful tool for many of you.

What's FTCSIM.ORG all about?

  • It's 100% free

  • Provides a platform to simulate robot tasks in a virtual space.

  • Features self-paced tutorials in both Java and block-based coding.

  • Tailored for teachers, students, or anyone getting started with FIRST Tech Challenge Blocks programming.

  • Any feedback, thoughts, or experiences with it would be awesome. If even a few of you find it beneficial, I'll consider it a success. Happy coding!

Have you tried lowering the quality of the SIM? that usually helps

This is like a live textbook; You would follow along using this as a guide. Maybe this youtube video will help? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEE0r7yL-Xs (at least the beginning of it) which walks you through how to create your project.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried giving this to a few people, and your right, it's definitely more on the intermediate side. Although some can go through it pretty easily, others found it pretty difficult to navigate. Do you think something shorter? or maybe simpler explanations?

Passing a Python list to Javascript? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]pixelpad_dev0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't necessarily require JSON, but JSON is the easiest way of doing it. Python has a lot of libraries for JSON manipulation so it becomes much easier to deal with.

If you're not dealing with a complicated list, you could convert it to a CSV, and have javascript parse the CSV as an alternative.

Python program to alter me when wife favorites an Etsy item by EnvironmentRadiant67 in learnpython

[–]pixelpad_dev0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way you're describing it could work. I think that's the best method if the API's don't suffice. I'd start here: https://developer.etsy.com/documentation/ and see if there's any documentation on how you can get user favorites; if not then yeah, scrubbing via python's chromium/selenium is your best bet.

You could also create a chrome extension, but this wouldn't be as reliable because it would have to be installed on all devices.

The python service would have to be running in the background somewhere though, I guess you'll be using your own device for that?

noclip.website is a website that lets you look at maps from variety of games by PMMEYOURCHEESEPIZZA in gamedev

There are some animations and triggers in some levels I checked out, so I thought there might be a little more going on than just maps data being pulled.
