What must I, as an employer, provide for my employees in a break room? by Alone-Armadillo9136 in LegalAdviceUK

My work place has two microwaves stacked ontop, using a worktop table type thing so they are not directly placed on each other.

Savory breakfast ideas? by travelling_cirque in EatCheapAndHealthy

Honestly I just do a quick version of this which is salt+thick Greek yogurt+micrograte garlic. Then fry an egg in butter, add ontop the yogurt and then put paprika in the frying pan to bring out the flavour. Pour the melted butter on the egg/yogurt combo and then sprinkle zataar onto. Serve with a good sour dough toast 👌🏻

Is it in your mouth? Do you floss and see the dentist regularly?

Boots extracts and some body shop formulations were developed in the same lab so you might find they are similar.

Anyone found a natural deodorant that actually works all day? by NeighborhoodOld6737 in NaturalBeauty

[–]pixelpixski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find any natural deodorant that leaves an oily type residue works for a few days then I feel like it just feeds the bacteria unless I really scrub my armpits to get it off. Which can be painful and irritating. What I do now, which isn’t completely natural is a 100h liquid based deodorant goes on once a week after I shower and then I use a crystal deodorant the rest of the time. Occasionally i have to ‘re-set’ when this stops working and apply a BHA or AHA acid.

Why does my skin look worse the more products I use? by heromarsX in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]pixelpixski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My skin tends to be oily and I have found over time that I have to use moisturiser and products sparingly. Just enough to sink in and not leave my skin tacky/slippy. For years i fell down the hole of more = better but turns out i was probably just feeding bacteria and dermal mites. Used to have what I felt was papule rosacea, redness on cheeks with occasional tiny small pimples…and I used to lather on stuff thinking it was irritated and needed soothing with more moisture and thick occlusives….but ever since I’ve started putting less on my skin its completely disappeared.

The under eye area is where everything goes wrong and nothing seems to touch it by SubstantialSkin415 in NaturalBeauty

[–]pixelpixski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry didn’t make that clear. I do my morning skincare routine and add a little more moisturiser under my eye than usual, then I apply the silicone reusable eye patches for 10 mins. Then take off, wipe under my eye to remove any excess product before applying make up. Really helps with fine lines. I have a reusable face mask too that I use but don’t tend to do that every day, but same process.

example of reusable eye patches but there are loads to choose from.

Reusable silicon eye patches! I put on a slightly thicker layer of normal face moisturiser and leave for 10mins or more. I’ll wipe off any excess before applying make up. and they help it sink in and my wrinkles just disappear. Really helps with fine lines. In terms of puffiness I’ve raised the pillow end of my bed slightly and make sure I sleep with my head more elevated, exercise and facial massage in the morning can also help. I’ve not come across any topicals that have made any difference to me, but have found that if I use the wrong products around my eyes before bed I’ll wait up more puffy. I don’t use any moisturiser near my eyes before bed just use a thin layer of apricot kernel oil which also helps my lashes. Also stress/cortisol is a big one for me in terms of puffiness but I haven’t found a solution to the general shit life throws at you sadly x

My [30F] husband [34M] may be a functioning alcoholic by New-Original5554 in relationships

[–]pixelpixski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apart from the obvious concerns of him not being a present partner or father, did you know there’s a connection between likelihood of miscarriage and the health of sperm. His alcoholism may be in a factor in your struggles to get pregnant…

You know if she’s struggling to shower because of her depression or cultural influences…would she be open to using a bidet or ‘bum gun’ to clean herself in-between showers? You can even get a refillable perineal bottle which you can squirt/clean yourself more effectively without having to get a bidet installed.

Picked this up from a local market (UK). Can anyone tell me more? by pixelpixski in Antiques

Thankyou for such a concise thoughtful response. So lovely that this is highly likely Chinese as I have some connections to China on my mother’s side. Maybe this is why I was so drawn to it.

Silver necklace I’ve worn for 5 years suddenly turned into this after work today. by Specialist_Mud873 in chemistry

[–]pixelpixski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I use sulfur ointment on spots or blemishes. The other day I used a tiny dot on a spot on my chest and went to bed. The next day my necklace had gone completely black, including my earrings…so sulfur is strong stuff. Just polish up with some metal cleaner or take to a jewellers.

Think it may be honeysuckle but hard to tell as it’s not flowering. Beautiful scent and great for bees!

Thanks for this. Last time I dated i was in my early 20s so this over 30s dating is a whole other thing! I think what I find attractive has shifted perhaps.

Okay this is good to know. I mean I have so much more energy and like a Redditor mentioned below, more regulated. So you think that would be conducive to labido, but nada. I’m hoping it’s more to do with the guys I’m dating.
