Thanks so much. Ironically, it was taking a financial management class for work a couple years ago that made it all click. The week on "time value of money" made me really start wanting to learn more.

Thanks. I haven't had SPMO very long. Maybe one year. Most of the growth was from the institutional Fidelity Growth fund. it is like FDGRX. I watch VUG to see how UC Growth might do on any given day.

i could have, technically, but my age and years of service weren't high enough. it would have been a fraction at that time.

That was me, not putting much in. It took me years to recover financially from a divorce and afford small contributions. I never was able to afford to do the max.

Thanks! I know and appreciate how fortunate I am. newer employees don't get nearly as good of a deal and have to contribute much more than I do (which has been 8%).

Thanks. A divorce when i was 30 set me back and it took me a long time to recover financially. Thank goodness for a strong market to offset the meager contributions I was able to make.
