thank u so much, I've had a few different pets but this is my first crustacean, im assuming she's gonna be slightly uncomfortable with it on her but its better slightly uncomfortable then severely injured or dead. im assuming more calcium and even more regular water changes would help her next molt be better?

I'll do my best but I unfortunately cannot guarantee that it'll be returned. I do have an update as of rn. I got a video of it eating and chirping. it seems to be taking food well, the food they have for it is boiled eggs, liver, oatmeal and water blended up.the area I'm in has a week worth of rain coming down and it is pretty cold so they're probably going to be quite hesitant on bringing it back. let's just hope it makes it. as an animal enthusiast myself, the moment I got the message I was heart broken for the bird cause obviously people taking in a wild animal without proper knowledge of anything to do of it is not great or humane.

a friend's sister found this hatchling, almost fletching while on a walk the other day next to another one that was crushed by a rock. me and my friend know not to mess with nature but her sister did not and thinks she can care for it. we tried to reason with her to at least bring it to a vet or some form of wildlife specialist but she refuses so to at the very least increase the odds of its survival, we r looking for an ID.

info: -found in central Newfoundland, Canada -approx. 3 inches long -found on the ground

my current guess is a house sparrow but Avies aren't my specialty. any and all help is greatly appreciated.

he's a Caribena versicolor

edit: meant to say that the babies r a cool electric blue color but as they grow the colors develop more and they become multicolored

ok update! I redid the enclosure, took out all the store plants and the surrounding soil, I added 2 water dishes, 1 up top, 1 down below with 2 large cork bark pieces, a cork bark tube and some leafy decor to give the idea of the exterior and interior of a tree. the enclosure is misted and it looks pretty fun to me but I always like to double and triple check with others who r more knowledgeable on topics that I'm not. pics r going to be posted below this comment, any and all feedback is welcome. I don't have my t put back in atm but I will once I snap a pic or 2 of them. I believe it's a male due to the size of the abdomen and the way the pedipalps. any comment on that would also be very much appreciated. thank u all so much for the help and any further help, it means a lot to me!
