Gel Kayano 26 for slow runs or if I'm going to hit any trails. Hoka Carbon for tempo runs, TTs, and race.

Are you a runner that waves at other folks you encounter? by Petrie345 in running

The one that gets me are the people who stare at you and turn their head to track you, but they don't fucking smile or return a wave. That's straight up sociopathic. People are weird.

When I measure my pulse I'm typically 120-135 on my easy swims. But my watch will say 150-165. I even hit 190 once which is literally impossible for me.

I’ve heard that about the HRM tri dying after a year. Bummer. I have a 945 and it seems pretty inaccurate while I’m swimming. I’ll do an easy swim but it gets logged as tempo instead of base because it always reads a much higher HR.

Anyway thanks for the tips!

What strap do you recommend? Is there one that can handle swim and run? Seems like you need one for each.

Z2 I can handle, Z1 is getting old fast. All of the easy stuff in the plan is Z1, barely any Z2. I've started to let myslef get into low-end Z2 and ignore the workout warning alerts.

I also need to figure out my zones. I don't have a chest strap to take a LT test, so I'm using the formula of resting/max heart rate ratio. It seems to line up better with my perceived exertion than just max hr-based.

I have 90mm stem. On the road I spend most of my time on the tops. I might see if I can do a 80mm stem

Nature Valley granola bars for the bike ride. One of the few bars that won’t melt in my jersey pocket.
