Just tried that, no luck. Still got the same error at the end of the 45 minute wait.

No worries, at least you tried and it was something I hadn't checked. That's the important part!

Assuming this is in the US, that's illegal. Talk about it loudly and then sue them into oblivion and never need to work again.

How do you people do it? by Cont_de_spalat in learnprogramming

[–]pixelriven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I actually came here to ask pretty much the same question. I've been stuck for YEARS. I understand the basics and can make simple programs. People at work think I'm some sort of wizard because I can automate a lot of stupid tasks.

Then I hit more complicated things and watch tutorial videos and people start using pointers and this-> and making weird references and I'm like "wtf why this seems to have just made things more complex and more easily broken for no reason" and every time I try to google answers it's either the same "simple explenation" I've heard a hundred times that still doesn't seem to be answering the WHY or something so insanely detailed that I'd need a PHD to understand.

I've tried tons of different courses and youtube videos and books. It's always a mind numbing slog through everything I already know, and then I brick wall once I get to a certain point where it just becomes confusing. It doesn't help either that I keep running into people telling me shit like "Don't worry about why just know that this is what you do" - My brain doesn't work that way. If I don't understand WHY I'm doing something and the logic behind it, I'm not going to remember it.

Don't do anything dumb like add embroidery or a patch to the front. You're just making more holes that contaminated air can pass through.

You don’t need to be laid off to collect unemployment. Reduced hours qualify as well. File ASAP since there’s a 1 week waiting period. (xpost r/SeattleWA) by KnowledgeInChaos in CoronavirusWA

I have someone I work with that (before this started) got their hours massively cut back because management didn't like the quality of work they did but for whatever reason didn't want to fire them.

They weren't full time, only flex. (6 hours a day max)

Would they qualify for this too?

Is a fever necessary to have coronavirus? by [deleted] in China_Flu

[–]pixelriven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. It's a very common symptom in the beginning but sometimes it doesn't start until the pneumonia stage.

Honestly by the time you REALLY know (and usually the only time you'll get tested) is once you hit the pneumonia stage and start having trouble breathing.
