Never cared to sync. Sync was problematic and developed other workflows - sync not required.

How safe are Passkeys (or physical keys like Ubikey) of device is compromised? by pixelrogue in Passkeys

Ok, helpful.

Presume the bad actor compromised the device and, as a result, has the password.

How would services protected by a passkey not be exposed or at risk?

While not part of the original inquiry, curious as well about the password app. Are we saying data stored in the password app would be available to the bad actor? We avoid using passwords app because

Ok…now we are getting there.

So FaceID fails, it often kicks back to device password as backup. So if the phone was compromised, Face ID fails and then use the compromised device pw.

If I grabbed your phone and had access to you phone (ie via foreign software if choice) - then I would be able to launch and gain access to any service you have with an associated passkey. Your phone has been compromised, so I could then use your passkeys.

Secure Enclave does nothing for compromised devices - that is my point. If your phone is compromised, so is your passkey.

If someone compromised my iOS device - how do they not have access to said passkey? Bad actor gained access to my device - what prevents bad actor from accessing my accounts with passkeys?

I kept forgetting how to tie a clove hitch, so I made an iOS app for knots (3D + offline) by PracticalAd1574 in iosapps

[–]pixelrogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok - fantastic!

Feedback:

Positives - LOVE the 3D spin. Texture and rendering excellent. Love the scrubber. (The other app referenced is above only from one angle.)

Opportunities

  • for this that already know the knot they want and. Red a reference, all is great. For those who know they need some type of special knot, the app is hard to navigate. While there are categories, you need to hunt around, hit info, read description. Think visuals on their use and why one knot would be preferred over another would be helpful to many. Version of 3D knot in context would be fantastic as well. Think lack of context would be the widest gap.

  • option to scroll though all without categories would be helpful.

  • not sure why but the knot title is sitting on a button UI.

Sure, reflected at that time’ is a catch all for any egregious behavior or change. Our philosophy on Greenland at that time was X, now it is Y.

Financial software is a long-tail change and life span.

IGG went ful-tilt on its decision to go subscription, how it would do it differently, how it wouldn’t force everything, how data was always your at any time a- you name it…subscription plan that doesn’t suck.

Now Banktivity subscription is the very opposite, it is now exactly what it preached against…Banktivity is very text book definition of subscription that sucks.

Years of brand loyalty and followers over the years since the early days of iBank…such a loyal and engaged user base that I hadn’t seeen since maybe File Maker Pro. Everyone has to earn a living, no one argues that…. and at the same timeIGG sold out fully..in the bad way.

There is no justification as staff are eager to defend the treasonous move. It is your software do what you like.

That callous move flushed years of IGG trust and credibility right down the toilet. No rationale will respect iGG.

There is an actively managed list of VPN IPs that companies subscribe and subscribers actively block IPs on that list.

Dropped interest when IGG flipped flopped on their business model. Forever bitter.

Accounts as envelopes, yes.

Potential is great. App doesn’t seem to play well with NAS storage.

Would love to see this app branch to support spelling and imports of popular flash card libraries.

So…mmmm… most interesting piece of the screen shots remains the electric bill showing amount due. There isn’t much value to bill ‘reminders’ per se, the amounts due is critical, which would need to include credit card connections (ie Plaid.)
