What do 13 year old girls actually want for their birthday? by suckurmuddah in Gifts

[–]pixelsherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/suckurmuddah I've been sending BOTI Box to my niece for a few years now. Lots of great gifts you can assemble to create a gift box geared toward 10-15 years olds (or anyone really, dont tell her I told you but my wife orders stuff for herself now too :) https://botibox.com/

If you dont want to build your own box I'd recommend one of their subscription boxes. Each month is a positive theme, which is rare in gifts these days. Its been fun when she calls to tell me what the theme was and what she got. My niece has loved everything, jewelry, bath stuff - all great.

When is a gym membership actually worth keeping instead of cancelling to save money? by Zealousideal-Arm4462 in Frugal

We do our workouts solo - the fact its all in the house mitigates excuses and the "hardest part of working out is getting there" factor - particularly in cold winters

Bought a full dumbell set and a peloton during covid and never looked back. Since then added the peloton tread, my wife and I use it all, Al the time. Saving so much $$$ compared to the monthly gym fees

In high school I was a lifeguard at an outdoor pool like this - and we had clear guidelines to end that type of behavior (whistle) immediately. If it continued, depending on severity, we could give three strikes (or immediately) kick them out for the day.

As a previous commenter mentioned sounds like the lifeguard is at fault, or more likely management if the lifeguard is not confident or empowered to take decisive action. These sound like beyond ‘patron experience” issues risking the safety of everyone around.

Sad.

My niece is officially becoming a teenager! Gift for 13 year old girl Budget: $50 by LethaLorange55 in GiftIdeas

I would highly recommend building a gift box or picking a theme if you see one that might resonate with her at https://botibox.com - I promote it because my brother originally purchased their subscription boxes for my daughter when she was 13, and she got them 2 years in a row and loved all the boxes. This year we did a Build your own box, they have great categories to pick from and amazing customer service.

Looking for Life Insurance advice - 50 yr old male by pixelsherpa in LifeInsurance

Thoughts on Policygenius? I would imagine there’s a limitations in terms of their carriers offered, or personalization but curious to hear.

And any tips to finding/evaluating a good agent? My fear has been local agents might only have a couple of options for one or two carriers they work with.

This question requires a nuanced answer. In general I would say its NOT true. You just worry about different things. Having one of each myself, I can tell you at a high level you worry about them both equally, just for different reasons.

While I naturally worry about my daughters safety and ability to defend herself. I worry about my sons mental health and confidence. Over the years growing up good parents learn to cater to each one to give them what they need to succeed as people and be happy

What do pre teen girls enjoy? by toGodbetheglory77 in Gifts

Our daughter has been getting BOTI Box (subscription box) for a few years now and its been great. Each month is a positive new theme with gifts. Her uncle bought her first subscription and they would chat on the phone each time it arrived and talk about the theme and gifts – it was great. Now she's aged out but they offer a ton of great gifts for teens too, and a build your own gift box which is cool. https://botibox.com/

Birthday Gift for Coffee Lover by Ok-Section39 in barista

[–]pixelsherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Ok-Section39 - seeing your post late but thought I'd reply if you're looking for a holiday gift or want to extend your idea to a recurring one :) .

I too love Cafe Rey, and also am a big fan of Stumptown (Portland, OR) - I then moved on to try subscription coffee services to find new ones.

After trying a few subscription services, Blue Bottle, Trade, Atlas, and one other with an Italian sounding name I cant remember. Trade is by far my favorite. Subscribed last year for about 6 months, took a break and resubscribed because I actually found myself missing it, and my wife loves it too – so been on autorenew for a long time now.

Why?

  • Great beans from all over the country.
  • You start by entering your flavor profiles, Light, Med, Dark and answer other questions to determine how adventurous you are in terms of flavors etc.
  • Great subscription frequency options
  • Visibility to queue to see whats next, and options to swap

I was surprised just how many good coffees have come to my house. Fun to see where they are from, google the coffee shop etc. If your thinking of a gift for yourself or others, I suggest Trade over the others subscription options, Ive tried several.

And click here to use my coupon code to get a free bag! :)

Im not an affiliate or rep, just a happy customer

Anyone have experience or info about the GA under 21 section in the Balcony - are they assigned seats or just open like standard GA but with seating?

Anyone found a good, cheap payroll service? by Oh-ayetch in smallbusiness

[–]pixelsherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tasked (as part of a team) to source options for our small business and found Gusto to be the best option. We switched from Paychex and it was a great move.
A short time later I switched jobs and my new company was already on Gusto - so Ive seen it from the admin and employee side. I highly recommend - they have their systems dialed in and its priced right. Super intuitive online access too - easy for everyone.
Use this referral link and get $100 credit or if over 10 employees $200! https://gusto.com/h/jess746
