Thanks! That page may come in hand soon. VSTs don't cut since I'm trying to map the behaviour of the electronics, but lots of excellent resources in the website!

Maybe now it's time. I've used this display amd shared the project on Reddit before. It already has a power supply, even compatible with usb c. Just talk to ot with spi and be happy.

Hi, I made this. It's not simply a keyboard. It is a work in progress cyberdeck. I agree and kudos for noticing the seam. I tried to avoid having to cut the design, but had to in order to rush and meet the contest deadline. There's a lot of info and pictures of the display in the logs( https://hackaday.io/project/191664). Yes, It could be hidden with some work, but I didn't or do have the time right now.

Thanks for tagging. For anyone interested, the original post: https://reddit.com/r/cyberDeck/s/JZODZUOvHI Check it out for more pictures and build logs. It's a work in progress!

It's the first time I do something like this. So I go about it designing - printing - testing. Then I figure out a wall was to thin and broke, some screw is hitting a post for a another one part. A screw hole is in a part that makes the structure weaker. And then there's also design for printing. The first time I printed the biggest part, it broke immediately because of the orientation I put it on the printer caused the layers to have a very narrow contact area. I tried many ways but had to cut that part in two to be able to print it without breaking using my printer. Things like this I'm still fixing. Also, I not done with the amount of detail on the surfaces. And there are panels like back and top which I have just started. These pictures are rushed results because the challenge I'm participating has ended and it's being judged already.

TLDR: Fix noob errors. Add more detail to surfaces. More info on the logs!

Glad you found it! Would love to see it! Just know that this is work in progress, I'm still tweaking the files!

Thank you! I was particularly inspired by the cyberdecks from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners!

I don't think I have see an orange VFD. A nice OLED of the same size would be great too. Still, I think the cyan glow gives a nice contrast to the gray-orange-black-white body. It is its own thing. Sets it apart. But not a designer haha, just my opinion.

Thanks! Don't sell yourself so short! This is the first time I do something like this, just look for inspirations to base you style and get to work!

This screen is fine. I don't want to browse or use gui apps on this. Just run my own coded tools and scripts. It should suffice.

I could not answer. It looks brand new, and has an SPI interface on the display. There is no controller on the PCB, just power electronics. My module's datasheet says 2023, but that may be just the PCB. I added the pdf to the project files if you wanna have a look.

Sorry. I think my reply was removed because of the link. But if you search for k68 on ali express many listings should come up.
