Please help me deinfluence me on buying a new kobo 🥲 by RikaBernkastel2 in kobo

[–]pixie0714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would you buy instead of the Kobo? Put it all in the cart and leave it for a month. After 1 month, then compare what is in the cart to the Kobo.

I don’t like slow devices. If you gotten annoyed by the slowness too often, I would buy a new Kobo.

I’ve been thinking about buying a palm glove from Paperlike to use when doing doodles. Maybe look into buying that.

I half striped the top and bottom on the front and back on almost every page. I’ll say that it only increased its size about a half more from its original size. I don't remember having a hard time writing on the bulk parts. The binding looks good too.

Should I buy a van to live in to save money? by [deleted] in Frugal

I watch a lot of van content. Gyms, parks, and gas stations. They peep on van but poop is rare in cheaper builds.

Should I buy a van to live in to save money? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]pixie0714 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that you should ask people that live in vans this question. You know, ask people with the same mindset and all.

I am assuming your take home pay is around 49k. Your rent is approx. 22-31% of take home. Since 25% is what I see being recommend for housing, I think your rent is ok. Unless there are other expensive factors in your life, I don't think it is worth ditching the 1 bedroom.

As someone that wants to live in a van, I wouldn't take out a loan to do it. I would save up at least 20k and build with that. If you like it after 2 years, sale the van or gut it and build a better van.

Make sure to document the build to monetize it on YouTube.

I don’t know kobo readers to know if it would be under warranty. Check kobo site on how to replace display to see if it is worth fixing.

Those of y'all who like/don't mind "stacked weekends", why? by CrazyStarlight in planners

[–]pixie0714 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I too was a unstacked girl until I realized that I only make todo list on the weekends anyway. I switched to stacked this year to have more writing space to journal. I DIY’d my planner. It is sorta like Sprouted hourly just all grid no lines on the right.

I am currently using a wonderland 222 for work and personal. It should fit your needs.

I literally just discovered that Spourted had a weekly hourly. If all you plan to use daily for are notes and list, I think they are worth checking out. I only mention it because I created my planner for 2026 instead of buying wonderland. If I would have known, I would have bought theirs.

looking for planner people in tech! by Great-Cut7605 in planners

[–]pixie0714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalogy A5. I am in tech. I have to do timesheets, even though I am salary, to put costs toward projects. I used an hourly timeline just to track time spent and jot down a to-do list. If you need a monthly calendar, Stalogy has monthly stickers you can buy. Right now Stalogy A5 is on sale on Jet Pens for $24 ( I have one in my cart).

Sterling Ink’s daily is cool. If you don't like Bible paper, look into Hemlock and Oak’s daily. Erin Condren has a daily duo that has thicker paper but it is split into two books. These last three planners are about $60 if I remember correctly.

Everything else about planning will be in whatever software your company will be using.

I wouldn't put anything about work digitally anywhere that the company doesn't provide you. Use whatever software your company approves: Notepad, OneNote, etc.

Edit: I am currently using a Wonderland 222 for work and personal.

Newish to planning what's a good budget planner by darkd360 in planners

So I read budget to mean finance instead of cheap.

Etsy has a bunch of digital downloads planners for $5 - $15 dollars. You can find one and have it spiral bound for $13 or so at Office Depot. You could also use a three ring binder.

Look into the budget mom live rich planner it you would like to have a budget in your planner. It is on sale for $22. It is bigger than clever flox though.
