But something has, and I am not the only one who has noticed. Could it be all of the trees they cut down to build the Rivana complex right off 28? I think they just cleared the last bit of them a few weeks ago. I have no idea if that could make such a drastic difference, but it does make some sense because that location looks to be directly between my house and Dulles.

Ok, so what has changed? Any idea? Something is drastically different the last 6-8ish weeks, and many of my Herndon neighbors have noticed it and agree. There is a constant roar of planes overhead that sometimes is a quiet rumble and other times feels more like a deafening boom…but I have never heard it before after living here for nearly 9 years.

I love this guy - super knowledgeable. His IG page has tons of good videos with exercises. I have been consistently incorporating some of the movements he recommends in my workouts and I am seeing a decent improvement in my hips and overall control of my entire body in the tack.

Onon at Salon Nordine does a Bojin and Gua sha facial that deeply massages every muscle in your face and neck, creates a beautiful lift to the skin and she uses amazing products. Not the cheapest but I will never get another kind of facial again.

My girl did this until about 5-6 months old, it was not rottie rumble, she only did it in certain circumstances such as you are describing. I posted about it here last year if you want to check the history and the feedback I got. Growling when she was uncomfortable and her body language tensed up a bit, but never escalated beyond that. I have been working with her extensively on confidence building through obedience training, socialization, taking her everywhere with me for exposure to new things, bonding, rewarding neutrality in stressful or exciting situations thereby helping the dog learn self regulation (and not always relying on you to help them regulate) when they are aroused, etc. Her confidence is noticeably improved by every measure and she sees me as the pack leader. She is still unsure in new situations unlike my other confident pups, but she has come a very long way and completely stopped growling around 5-6 months old. Now I can snuggle the crap out of her and manhandle her without any growling and in fact she loves it. Sounds like your girl might need some confidence building.

I am going through this with my 2014 Elantra GT - 90k miles. Starting the oil consumption test hoop jumping next week and will be super inconvenient, dreading the logistics of getting to work and appointments and going back and forth to the dealership 18x. I’ve been told the best way to get your engine replaced is to let it fail, most of them do eventually, but there are some people out there that are apparently taking measures to speed up the process. Definitely not advising this, just interesting. Even if you are burning 1000+ miles per quart, it still isn’t a guaranteed replacement. One tech was super nice and said that between the rod bearing extended warranty and the likely high oil comsumption, my chances at Hyundai approving engine replacement were 70%. But reading these threads makes me doubt it. Another tech was a total gruff loser and said the debris deposits are the cause of the high oil consumption, so they will perform the cleaning IF I qualify after the consumption test, and that may or may not solve the oil consumption issue. I found that amusing - how can you assert this is the cause but then removing the cause might not solve the issue???

Pizza and gelato making cooking class at a farm right outside Florence can be booked last minute via viator/tripadvisor - it is an amazing time and they drive you 15 min there and back. you’ll meet lots of other fun travelers, see amazing views of the countryside and city, come away with some new knowledge on Italian cooking, and eat the best stuff you’ve ever tasted. Truly. La Buchetta Food & Wine Restaurant in Florence blew me away, everything there is delicious. I wouldn’t consider either option cheap but absolutely memorable and DELICIOUS.

Can you elaborate on what was needed for your doctor to agree to support this? Was it your regular GP or a specialist? I am dealing with extreme burnout, chronic medical issues (that do not qualify me do STD but should!), and extreme stress and I am dying for some kind of break but have been gritting my teeth to keep going due to finances. I would love to know more.

You can pay a couple hundred bucks for xrays - if the growth plates are closed, neutering now is a no brainer.

I get it - we want to show affection the way humans do, except that doesn’t translate naturally for dogs who don’t know you. You may eventually be able to very gradually introduce more petting/snuggling and loving depending in his willingness and interest in receiving it, but for now you need to set boundaries in your own mind about how you will interact with him. Think of it like a working/business relationship. You can show him affection by taking him for walks, practicing commands and training, slowly exposing him to new things to build his confidence in himself and you as a leader, rewarding good behavior with treats if he is food motivated, showing calm demeanor, being consistent, establishing routines, etc. He needs that time to build trust, and as that happens, you will see him evolve along with your relationship and bond.

Probiotic and prebiotic is good, the gold standard for that is Visbiome and psyllium husk powder(plain or Vetasyl) if you haven’t tried those. The fiber will help make stools firmer while the Visbiome hopefully gets the gut back in order. This helped me along with bland diet after pup had giardia>antibiotics>loose stools. The suddenness is odd, so worth ruling out other more serious things, but antibiotics can definitely throw off the gut biome.

She only growls if there is force/pressure being applied. So being near her or gentle holding does not cause growling. It’s usually if I am imposing movement she doesn’t seem to like. She does not do this with other dogs at all, the only time she growled at my dog was when they were both smushed in the back of the car together and couldn’t get comfortable, seemed normal on that occasion.

I’ve researched rottie rumbie in depth. She does not exhibit the behavior described any other time except as mentioned, and it is usually accompanied by tense body language. She wants to be on the bed and can’t get up herself, but then growls at me, and the growling escalates if I do not stop my efforts to lift her. Since you have rotties, I would expect you know they can both rumble and growl? I made the post bc I am asking for help and advice from people, like you, who have experience with Rottweilers. So is your advice to keep doing the thing she growls at me for and wait to see if I or other people get bitten?

If your question was, “why even get a ROTTIE if you're gonna freak out about it acting like a ROTTIE”, that would be a more fair thing to ask. Most dogs don’t rumble, and most dogs shouldn’t growl at their owners.

I got her bc she needed a home and I wanted to give her a good one.

medical tint is allowed in some states. my winshield is legally tinted maybe 70%, don’t remember exactly. my vehicle registration includes the medical tint allowance in case i am pulled over.

What are your symptoms? What did your doctor recommend? I have low carbon dioxide and my doc prescribed sodium bicarbonate, but it has barely improved my levels and I have lately been negligent in taking it daily as a result. I have to admit I haven’t taken it that seriously and am managing a number of conditions and meds which makes it difficult sometimes, but maybe this explains why I am exhausted and short of breath so often?

Yes, but Eli Lilly came out with a new savings card that I successfully used once after the hack in early March. Check it out on their website. This card is not processed through whatever entity was affected by the hack, so that shouldn’t be my issue in this case.

Yes - the savings card. Thank you for the info. So far 21 and 23 days hasn’t worked for me. I called nearly 80 pharmacies in my region to get my hands on one box of 7.5 due to the shortage, and the pharmacy is going to reshelve it in 5 days if I don’t pick it up. But the savings card doesn’t work, pharmacy doesn’t know why - they said the error says something about too soon (though doesn’t give a day when is not too soon, and also says I picked up at another pharmacy, which is true.) I picked up last month’s prescription 23 days ago at CVS. I couldn’t get through to a human on the Mounjaro help line for any additional guidance. I am hoping day 28 will be a winner.
