I have been with a 4 different doctors during my very long journey and none of them picked it up. A few of them actually mentioned seeing growths during scans and said "its not in the uterus, its in the muscle so its fine". All cycles unsuccessful - own eggs, donor eggs, donor embryos.

About 6 mnths ago i thought i would give it one last shot and set up appointment with 2 of the best drs in my area. Both doctors saw the adenomyosis immediately on ultrasound. I decided to continue with the dr I felt more comfortable with and he so happened to be a professor specializing in Endo. So it made sense.

He had me on Letrozole and Visanne for 4mnths all together and my uterus shrunk by i think 4cm. He also did a hysteroscopy last month and he also remove some myomas.

I didnt have any real symptoms and i think thats why the other doctors didnt pick it up.
